This is JK Rowlings new book. It was the title of a book Dumbledore left for Hermione in the last book. It's an illustrated collection of fairytale-type stories. Only seven copies are being printed. Six are being given away, and the seventh is being auctioned; the starting bid is $62,000.

Two million pounds for a book, that's ridiculous... I would like to see more of her drawings, though. It looks like she has an interesting doodling style.

Isn't that close to $4,000,000.00? I don't expect it to depreciate any time soon though. It's a beautiful book. I'd like to see more books like that, but in a price range I could afford.

The gut reaction is WTF but in this case its geared to get a gut reaction.
I can't really get excited over it as the kids that I know just aren't into it. My nephew went straight to the LOTR camp and passed it by.
Everytime I think of HARRY POTTER, I think of that DARK IS RISING story that was featured on the 70's PBS show where an artist illustrated the story while he told it. Anybody remenber that show? The artist guy had a moustache.

If I pay that much for a book, there better not be any typos. LOL
