So, as a utility, has anyone ever used this? I can see where it might be useful for mass combat, as in, a village of 500 people (with 200 able bodied men) is attacked by goblin raiders. Using the chart Gene presents, those percentile rolls could make a fine alternative for handling such mass combat.

I thought it was mainly for Gene's cross-edition reference, than for utility.

I play with a lot of probability but its this "ancient cave math" that I use half the time where I visualize the numbers then roll dice. Sort of like a H.P. Lovecraft wizard theorem and that chart is probably the closest I can bring to D&D in "human form".
