For a long time I had problems with the whole Nerull vs. Incabulos thing--after all, Nerull dwells in Tarterus, and Incabulos (Poxpanus) dwells in Hades. But I guess that Nerull as Infestix (plagues being but one aspect of "Evil Death"...) makes sense. After all, Gary never gave Incabulos sovereignty over daemonkind-- Hordlings and Night Hags are his servants. So maybe the the Oinodaemon serving the Big "N" is kosher... Thoughts?

I think there was some Gord era revisioning going on there, or possible some concepts lost in transition/translation. I’m not so sure it was as simple as Nerull = Infestix. There were a few aspects of Nerull/Infestix I wasn’t fond of. I prefer the pre-Gord Nerull, and keep him in Tarterus with the demodands.

One discrepency I noted was that in the earlier Gord books, Nerull wielded his scythe of death, but in the later books he delivers a "touch of plague"upon his victim; this latter practice certainly more in line with Incabulos. Hmmm...

In my misconception of where Gary was going in the Gord novels, I envisioned Incabulos as the head of the daemons, but now I see him as resident to Hades, but separate from the Oinodaemon and the Eight Diseased Ones. The jury's still out on Nerull/Infestix, although his better fit in Tarterus is certainly true.
