My girlfriend and son rolled up characters last night. The stats are two of the best I've ever seen. I guess it's beginners' luck. The sad part is neither of them have a clue about how good the stats are. Liana has a high elf f/m. Stats after racial and age adjustments: Str: 14 Int: 18 Wis: 12 Dex: 19 Con: 17 Cha: 12 Com: 14 Avery has a human fighter: Str: 18/53 Int: 12 Wis: 9 Dex: 18 Con: 18 Cha: 14 Com: 13

What are the Dex modifiers for a 19 from the MM II?

I think the modifiers for thief skills might be better.

They are: Dex 19 = +15% PP, +20% OL, +10% F/RT, +12% MS, +12% HS.

But it looks like you don't have a thief in the party, so I suppose those figures are, in fact, irrelevant

Those are some nice rolls! The elf could use better STR for being a fighter, but can't really argue.
And a fighter with 18s in STR/DEX/CON? Doesn't get any better...

I just discovered it today and its nice finding other folks who have such a fondness for 1st edition Greyhawk AD&D. I like that you're using Comeliness. In my old GH campaign I had significant issues with my players about the relative merit of Comeliness versus Charisma. I always thought that having a definitive statistical measurement of physical attractiveness to be a great value. My players, however, believed Comeliness to be superfluous and we eventually dropped it. Were these numbers the result of 3D6 rolling, or some other variant (i.e. 4D6 drop 1, Unearthed Arcana, etc.)? Thanks, Arioch

Howdy, Arioch. Those were 4d6, drop lowest, comeliness rolled separately.
