I never gave GenCon 08 a thought, but I should make more of an effort to make it to more cons. I'm not a fan of con gaming, but there are folks I'd like to hang with, and, sometimes, products I'd like to scoop up. I think going forward I will try to make more cons, or give starting one locally more consideration.

You're pretty close to Origins, which is in Columbus, OH, right?: www.originsgamefair.com/I've enjoyed attending Origins before: it's much-more personal a con than GC is, since it's smaller (or at least it was, when I was there last in 1999).

Some day, when I'm rich, I'd like to go to Origins, GenCon and Dragon Con. As well as the Troll Con. And I would seriously like to go to Egypt Con in Cairo, Il. Not far from Carbondale where Dave Trampier is driving his cab. I've got the intro from Tom Wham, so maybe Dave won't slug me. I would just like to shake his hand and say "thanks"! Of course, I'll have the DMG and other stuff in my backpack for signing if he's in a good mood. Anywho, until then, it's LGGC only. I see that the Winter Dark Con will be moved to Little Rock. And the GaryCon will be run in March (around the 4th).
