This is a Mythus book set on Aerth, but the characters are new. Raker and Ferret are the protagonists. Fighter/thief types. Pre-orders are available this month I think.

Here's a blurb from Paizo: Infernal Sorceress debuts two new Gygax characters: the handsome swordsman Raker and his cunning daggerman Ferret, a duo of rough-and-tumble rogues ready for the intrigues and adventures of a hostile world. Swashbuckling swordplay, hideous monsters, and puzzling mysteries abound in this never-before-published tale from a master of sword and sorcery. Infernal Sorceress takes place on Aerth, a fantastic planet informed by Earth in the Dark Ages and medieval period. It's also the setting for Gygax's novels The Anubis Murders, The Samarkand Solution, and Death in Delhi, also available from Planet Stories.

So it doesn't follow in order before or after - The Anubis Murders, The Samarkand Solution, and Death in Delhi?

Nope, completely unrelated.

Thanks. I have the other three in their original form, but now I feel like I should get the new ones so they'll look right next to Infernal... That's the organizer in me. personally I'd rather have them all in hardback.

Actually, there is a brief reference to an Aegyption heka wielder when a magical item is used. That is definetely about our Magister.
I thought this book was quite good and reminded me of an AD&D adventure in good old S&S style. Though it's a clear rip-off of Fafhrd and the Mouser the protagonists can stand on their own.

I really liked the casual adventuring style that this story was written in. I found the other three books to be more serious in nature.

I finally started reading this. I’m enjoying it so far. A few fragments hit wrong chords, but for the most part, it’s good stuff.

I really liked it! I may have already mentioned that Gary had planned a trilogy for this... maybe someday Alex will find some "lost notes" like Christopher Tolkein or Brian Herbert (or whoever the heck does V. C. Andrews novels!)... JUST KIDDING!!!! (on that last bit!)

Gary must have really dug the Fafhrd and the Gray Mouser vibe. First Gord and Chert, and then Raker and Ferret. I really enjoyed the book.

My copy of IS arrived the other day. I have not started it yet as I'm rereading the Mythus rules and Necropolis right now.
Once I have finished with that IS is up next.
Glad I came here and found out about it! Thanks!
Cheers!

I enjoyed this book a lot. Like Scott said a couple of parts struck me wrong but I won't elaborate so i don't spoil it for anyone who has not read it yet.
Easy read. I finished it in two settings. I love the fact that it is set on Aerth.
Cheers!
