Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez recently referred to Interpol Secretary General Ronald Noble as a ”gringo" policeman after Interpol determined files that linked Venezuela and Ecuador to the Columbian leftist FARC rebels were not altered by Columbia as Chavez claimed. Chavez is priceless.

Haha, this guy is my favorite "banana republic" dictators. Who'd have thought that even as communism has died (mostly) that we'd still have banana republics???
Btw, is that fun/cool clothes store called BR still around. I loved that place (but never bought anything there)!! ;D

He's definately the current top banana. He's right up there with Ahmadinejad on top of the anti-American rhetoric sound bite hill.

Apparently Venezuela has the cheapest fuel prices in the world, so I heard yesterday - 25p (or 50 cents) a litre. Or was it a gallon? Can't remember, but it was dirt cheap anyway.

Back in the day, I used to think that anything Panama Jack or Banana Republic was the coolest! Also, anything from the Ron Jon Surf Shop at Cocoa Beach (had to go there anytime I went to the Space Center!) And my sunglasses had to be Ray Bans... wonder how many over-priced pairs of those I lost while canoeing... at least four or five! ^__^
