Everyone~
I don't mean to stir up anything or cause any problems. But I was just wondering about something. How do you all feel about PDF's?
I once had the hoard of hoards when it came to D&D/AD&D items. For reasons beyond my control I lost it all. I was lucky enough to have saved my mostly prized treasure out of it, my character that I had played since I was 10.
Now with the help of PDF's I have a great deal of my "collection" back. I'm not into or every was into collecting the items for monetary value, I'm here for the game.
Now to pay for a PDF is just wrong, making money off of someone else's work. WotC(ost) is even doing it now for current books they have in print at full regular retail price. That's fine I guess if they wish to do that, but at full price. I'm sure I could go some where and get a used (maybe even new) hardbound copy cheaper.
So, I must say I love PDF's. I'm always looking for a good trade and I'm here to help others find what they cannot.

I like to own hardcopies of books. When it comes down to it, you only need to collect a few manuals for actual play, and a module every few months.
Since I do most of my shopping on eBay, I will occasionally help myself to a free PDF to "browse" the product before I decide to buy. If I like the PDF, I will get the actual book. If not, I will trash the PDF and save myself some disk space. I keep PDFs of some books that I also own hard copies of, simply because occasionally it's useful to be able to find words electronically. The only time I will keep a PDF that I don't own the hard copy of is if it is extremely rare, i.e., all four R modules. Regards.

I like to own hardcopies of books. Falconer~ I do as well. But, some (if not most) of the things I lost can't be replaced with hardcopies. ~Emrick

ST 1 for starters, unless you want to pay an arm and a leg.

Ohh. Well, "most" of your collection could hardly be of this value. Besides, would you actually want to play ST1? It seems like the only point of owning it is because it is a rarity. Same with Jade Hare, Palace of the Vampire Queen, etc. Regards.

The Jade Hare module is in fact quite good and worth playing. I can't speak for the other two.
