Hey Gene, do you remember Rob telling us that Bombadil had the Invulnerable Coat of Arnd while on this adventure? Do you recall if he found the item on the adventure, or if he already had it? When I run this adventure, I might hide it in there somewhere as an homage to the original adventure/campaign. Scott

I vaguely recall thinking that he already had it as the procurement of an artifact probably should have pictured into the tale. The weird thing was I was fascinated but at the same time I was trying to ignore it because I thought that he was going to accidentally spoil the adventure!

I forgot to add that we were supposed to be playing DARK DRUIDS that night.

Bombadil found it on the adventure. Per Rob: He found it and then died trying to use it (it had contact poison attribute for the baddy). Skip and him were circling above an underground lake at the time on Bombadil's carpet. As Bombadil had died, Skip had no way of controlling the carpet (didn't know the command word) so he stripped the coat of Arn from Bombadil (great companion, he left him there) and timed his jump and made it to land. He ran withthe sounds of demons pursuing behind him. He saw light and freedom, and he ran towards the outside, but a Vrock caught up t him, TKd him about 300-500 feet into the air and let him drop, Squish. End of Skippy, too.

As a follow up I asked what was guarding the artifact. His response: The item was guarded by Yennoghu! If removed from the altar he started to manifest and all demons on the level became aware of it, which is why they gathered to the artifact so quickly and gave chase. R
