I love the idea that starting funds are based on social class. I also like that certain professions take a SEC hit when choosing less savory classes....it makes so much sense.

The one thing I really like about both Mythus and LA monetary systems is the diversity of coin types. Of course, one can always invent new ones for AD&D. Also, the price for weapons and armor show why most commoners used improvised weapon or spears to defend themselves. At around 24 BUC a day, the average peasant is probably never going to afford a sword let alone armor and shows why looting from the dead was the best way to get better equipment during war.

Anyone try the LA or Mythus systems is AD&D. I thought that I read somewhere that Gary was going to use the LA monetary system in Castle Zagyg. I read that as well. I believe there is also going to be an Unearthed Arcana-style social class system.
