Was there a cleric of Pelor mentioned in the Gord novels as an Oligarch of Greyhawk? I remember Vronstein (of Zilchus), Elohiddeus (of the Hells) and Arendil (Nerull)... I remember a priest of Pelor, but not as to whether he was an Oligarch.

If Gene doesn't beat me to it, I'll check when I get home.

Not prior to that 2000-2001 Greyhawk website that I did with Gary's input.
When I got up to the oligarchs Gary insisted that I make up names for them but I didn't want to do that initially. One day I came up with a set of who was going to be the top of the clerics and he corrected it. Adding Pelor. I then called the high priest of Pelor "DEINSAULL" but he didn't like the name. He replied how do you like "BENRAI HELSOS"?

Is that, perchance, an anagram? It sounds good to me at any rate... ^__^ I just figured that there needed to be a balancing agent or two in the Oligarchy!

Gary explained to me that they rotate the alignments in the cleric department of the oligarchs with the others serving lesser roles.

How so, this rotation?

Actually he did didn't word it like that. Specifically he said:
I think I was assuming that at some point they'd switch out but he also wrote that in regarding to five cleric oligarchs:
So they might not have switched around.
In regards the advisors:
I might have some more notes on this but they're hardcopies and I'd have to dig them all out.

As great as it seems that I am holding this hoard of lost lore actually I think the majority of these lost notes from Gary can only bear fruit in the form of a collection of expletives on what they've done to his world. Har!
