I recently finished this book. It is a sequel or homage to "The Willows" by Algernon Blackwood in much the same way THE TWISTED ONES was a sequel or homage to "The White People" by Arthur Machen. This one has even more references to Narnia. I would recommend reading "The Willows" before this, just to get refreshed on it -- that was another one of HPL's favorite horror stories. THE HOLLOW PLACES is very readable and it just effortlessly flows you along the story, and there are some interesting concepts in here even if one in particular came across as silly more than scary. But overall, I recommend this for some easy weekend reading.
I was also prompted to re-read "The Great God Pan" by Arthur Machen, another classic. I also recently bought THE IMAGO SEQUENCE AND OTHER STORIES (2007) by Laird Barron and THE WIDE CARNIVOROUS SKY AND OTHER MONSTROUS GEOGRAPHIES (2013) by John Langan, authors who are frequently guests on the Lovecraft eZine Podcast. I met John Langan at the NecronomiCon 2019 in Providence and he was a nice, down to earth guy. I had read THE FISHERMAN (2016) by John Langan before the Con, on the recommendation of my cousin Karl who I ended up going to the Con with, and really liked it. Laird Barron has been described as noir horror and John Langan as literary horror. I think that is good way to sum them up.

Weird since you mentioned this I brought my daughters to 3 different Barnes and Nobles (Looking for manga. {{{Cringe}}} ) and I went to the "Horror" section and nothing under "Kingfisher" just "Stephen King". Is it an ebook?

They aren't just ebooks since I got physical copies out of the library. They are on Amazon as both physical and Kindle versions. The author also goes by her real name: Ursula Vernon. She has written many children's fantasy books as well, but I have not read any of those.

I've noticed the "Horror" section is maximum 2 shelves and King is taking up a whole shelf in the overlap.

I should mention that my running gag is loudly saying "What?!? No 'BROKEN CASTLE' in the RPG section?" They go running.
