In the Guide, in the Bramblewood Forest entry, it mentions Thornward and states, "Dakon are known to dwell therein." Off the top of my head, I can't think of what a dakon is. Can anybody point me in the right direction?

There was a 2E Dragon article that listed dakon as jungle-dwelling, shaggy, intelligent apes, but it really doesn't fit. Was there any Gygax-era material ever written?

The Dakon were intelligent apes from the Fiend Folio contributed by Ian MacDowall! ^__^

I just had a moment. I always took it as the dakon lived in Thornward, which is what confused me, but the light just went on, and I get it now. Yeah, losels probably would work better.
