So, I've been going back and "mining" old issues of Polyhedron, which have quite a bit of material deemed "official" by Gar-Bear himself that I haven't been using but now shall. One item of interest is the Amazon from Polyhedron #22. They are of a "primitive" nature, and don't fit well anywhere in Oerik-proper (Eastern Flanaess); so I'm thinking Hepmonaland or Amedio Jungle. Given the presence of the Olman people in the Amedio, I'm leaning towards Hepmonaland... what say y'all?? ^__^

According to the WoG minifig sets, the Amazons are from Hardby.

But I guess that's a little different than the more primitive lot from Polyhedron. Either would work fine.

Yeah, I could see amazons used in Hardby, but their spell-casters are generally "witch doctors", while the Despotrix of Hardby was a "sorceress of no small repute". So which "outside" area would you go with and why?

I guess Hepmonaland. There really isn't that much more there, south of what we can see of the Amedio Jungle. Hepmonaland, though, is vast.

I agree-- that was my supposition as well. Just one more thing that I wish that I'd asked Gary in person, but there were always so many other things, and just joking around (we traded many a pun, with raised eyebrows!) ^__^

Deirdre from AoE is an example of an “amazon woman” from Hardby.
