I just heard that a remake of this series will air this fall. No details on who's in it though. Scott

After six episodes, this series has been cut. I didn't get to see it. Anybody have a chance to check it out, was it good?

Well, I've seen about 5 of them and it was pretty good (certainly much better than WB's "Supernatural"). Not in the same vein as the original but still it conveyed the same feeling.
Too bad.

On another note: the original series has been put out on DVD and I bought the set. Not "state of the art", but still good--remember that they were forbidden to show any gore on TV at that time; they had to rely on atmosphere.

The original series was limited to what it could do by budget and the restrictions on what could be shown on network TV at the time, but the stories were good, and Darren McGavin played the part so well.

Yeah... the new one played more as a Psycho-drama than a monster vs. lone reporter.
