So here's a sidebar: what limits do you place on sthe M-U spell shapechage? I put a size limit of as small as a mite or duckweed and as large as a whale or redwood; as I considered characters wouln't know about protozoa/bacteria/virus and that the spell was limited by mortal spell level constraints.... Comments?

The limits I would use are non-unique creatures the caster would know of.

Thats just common sense. If they shrunk to a microbe then they'd be destroyed unless major preparations were in place. Those major preparations being scientific devices and knowledge. End of story.
Exceptions: the gods (who have access to future shit)
As to gigantisism? Whatever.... common sense. The destructive force unleashed upon a character becoming way too big for their environs will be equally (or less) felt by their hit points. Especially if they're enclosed when changing however after the change loss of air if too tall, weight might cause an earthquake etc. if a known equal-sized big-ass creature haunts the area and then do the spell outside then I wouldn'tgive it a problem.
