Here is a first draft of an annotated Flanaess Chronology I have been working on, for my own reference. I thought I would share it. It pulls in references from a number of sources, which I've paraphrased or quoted as appropriate, and then cited the source in brackets. Some entries noted with a ? are my own guesses, and entries with no citations are either from my own campaign or source I haven't cited yet. The focus is on my own campaign area and the western Flanaess. Most of it is just consolidating information that appears in various entries in the Guide to the World of Greyhawk.
OR 160: “Beginning of the Baklunish-Suloise Wars.” [Guide p. 9]
OR 179: “First employment of humanoid mercenaries.” [Guide p. 9]
OR 187: “Oerid migrations east of peak point.” [Guide p. 9]
OR 198: “Suloise migrations begin.” [Guide p. 9]
OR 223: “Invoked Devastation and Rain of Colorless Fire strike.” [Guide p. 9]
OR 223? “The Lost Passage of the Suloise: When the Rain of Colorless Fire ended the Age of Glory and brought down the Empire, the tribes decided to seek their fate to the east, in the lands of the Flan. To expedite this migration, Slerotin, the Last Mage of Power, caused a great tunnel to be magically made through the northeast mountains. One by one the tribes passed out of the Emprie and into the East. When none were left in the Sea of Dust, the Last Mage sealed the tunnel at both ends with a spell that would last a thousand years. … ancient Suloise folklore.” [Glossography p. 27]
OR c. 200-400: “For two centuries the Oerid and Suel battle each other and the fragmenting humanoid hordes for possession of the central area of the Flanaess, incidentally engaging the Flannish and demi-humans. In a few places the two racial stocks intermixed – notably the Sheldomar Valley, where, except for the Hold of the Sea Princes, the peoples of the Keoland, Gran March, the Ulek States and nearby petty lands or mixed Oerid-Suel stock… The success of the Oeridian domination of so much of the Flanaess was in part due to their friendliness toward the original demi-human peoples of the area – dwur, noniz, hobniz, olve – whose cooperation greatly strengthened the Oeridians. The willingness of the Flanae to join forces with the Oeridian armies also proved to be a considerable factor. Perhaps the biggest asset the Oeridians had, however, was the vileness of the Suloise – the majority lied, stole, slew, and enslaved whenever they had inclination and opportunity. There were exceptions, of course, such as the Houses of the Rhola and Neheli – late migrants who settled and held the Sheldomar as already mentioned.” [Guide p. 8]
OR 303? Founding of Keoland, first major realm of mankind established after the time of the Great Migrations.
OR 312? Founding of Rholand with the citadel of Rhola Dra.
OR 600? “Keoland established the territory of the Gran March during its early stages, basing it upon a military-religious order of knights. These zealous fighters quickly subdued the warring inhabitants, established order within the area, and conscripted all fit males into worker and infantry battles (regimental-like formations). The land between the Lortmils and Dim forest north of the Sheldomar became productive and peaceful, but the rule of these first Commandants was repressive and harsh.” [Guide pp. 22-23]
CY 1/OR 645: “Overking crowned in Rauxes; frontiers of Great Kingdom reach Greyhawk City.” [Guide p. 9]
CY 1-300?/OR 645-944? “The writ of the Overking of Imperial Aerdi eventually extended to Furyon and Voll (now Veluna), across the northern prairies as far as Perrenland. For three centuries the Aerdy held a vast empire which fluctuated in extent but little, until after the third Celestial house (dynasty) when the borders began to close upon the original territory of the Aerdi.” [Guide p. 10]
CY 200/844: “As the power of the Malachite Throne waned (c. 200 CY), the viceroys of Ferrond ruled more by their own writ and less by the leave of the Aerdi overlords.” [Guide p. 22]
CY 213/OR 857: “Age of Great Sorrow commences.” [Guide p. 9]
CY 217 OR 861: Keoland’s imperial era begins increasingly militant out of a reaction of fear of the Great Kingdom and events of unrest.
CY 254/OR 898: “In 898 O. R. the heir to Viceroy Stinvri (the Viceroyalty had become hereditary some years previously) was crowned in Dyvers as Thrommel I, King of Furyondy, Prince of Veluna, Provost of the Northern Reaches, Warden General of the Vesve Forest, Marshall of the Shield lands, Lord of Dyvers, etc. The adjunctive states were soon lost, but the central core of the kingdom was sound and viable and has persisted.” [Guide p. 22]
CY 275/OR 919: The Elf-Dwarf War. "The elven legends about Annacon say it was forged by a dwarven weaponsmith and a human wizard ally about three centuries ago. At that time, the elves and dwarves of this region were fighting a war against each other... The battles were settled long ago, though some slight hostility between the two races still exists." [“The Sword of Justice” TD # 92, p. 47]. The dwarf champion wielded the spear known as the elf-destroyer: Alkarg.
CY 276/OR 920: Fall of Grotheim in the Barrier Peaks. After the dwarves nearly emptied their halls to attack the elves, Grotheim was attacked by a dragon, trolls, and goblins. The dwarves abandoned their war against the elves and tried to retake Grotheim but failed. In the Dim Forest, the elf citadel of Cair Avenon fell to the army of the orcs led by King Mondru who wielded the spear Alkarg -- taken from the dwarves.
CY 286/OR 930: A mysterious plague that causes green blotches on the face and hands and then death sweeps through the army of the orcs. King Mondru is assumed to have died from it, and his orc kingdom collapses. [Adapted from "Citadel by the Sea" TD # 78 p. 43]
CY 320/OR 964: “Nomads appear in the north, outer dependencies of Aerdy gain sovereignty.” [Guide p. 9]
CY 356/OR 1000: Keoland at peak [Guide p. 9]. “At the peak of this imperialism, Keoland held sway from the Pomarj to the Crystalmist Mountains, while her armies pushed into Ket and threatened Verbobonc and Veluna City (c. 350-360 CY). The Ketite expedition came to grief in successive battles (Molvar, Lopolla)…” [Guide p. 27]
CY 375/OR 1019: The growing domain of the descendants of the Landgraf of Selintan and Gynarch (Despotrix) of Hardby “rose to considerable heights c. 375 CY under the rule of Zagig Yragerne (the so-called Mad Archmage). It was Zagig who built the sprawling Castle Greyhawk (now a ruin) and poured funds into the City of Greyhawk in order make it into the “Gem of the Flanaess.” His reign was bizarre in many other ways, and it came as no surprise when it was reported that Zagig Yragerne had mysteriously vanished after years of rule when no change or aging could be detected. The castle was abandoned, supposedly due to a terrible curse up on the place, but the City proper continued to flourish.” [Guide pp. 23-25]
CY 400/OR 1044: “The Lirtlemark, or March of Bissel, was the northernmost frontier of the kingdom of Keoland c. 400 CY.” [Guide p. 19]
CY 438?/OR 1082? “When Berlikyn, then ruler of the fief [of the Gran March], was slain in combat in the war with Veluna-Furyondy, in the Small War, the populace rose in rejoicing." [Guide p. 23]
CY 438/OR 1082: “It [Bissel] was wrested from the latter [Keoland] in the Small War (Furyondy vs. Keoland) which ended Keoish influence in Veluna (438 CY).” [Guide p. 19]
CY 438?/OR 1082?: “… an alliance between Veluna and Furyondy ended the Keoish threat from that quarter (Short War).” [Guide p. 27]
CY 438/OR 1082: “After the unfortunate Short War (see Bissel, Keoland), Veluna returned to normal affairs and only engaged in formal military action again when the Horde of Elemental Evil manifested itself.” [Guide p. 41]
CY 438-479?/OR 1082-1123? “Bissel became a tributary state of Furyondy for a few decades…” [Guide p. 19]
CY 438-446/OR 1082-1090: “Coincidentally, the Olvenfolk within the boundaries of Keoland objected to the warlike policies of the King and began expelling royal garrisons in the Ulek provinces and Celene. In the ensuing struggle, the freemen of the western portion sided with the demi-humans. Raiders in the fair south took advantage of these conditions to harry the Keoish coast from Gradsul to Gryrax.” [Guide p. 27]
CY 446/OR 1090: “Rise of the Sea Princes.” [Guide p. 9]
CY 450/OR 1094: “The isolated position of Geoff, surrounded on all sides by mountains, hills, and forests, has made it virtually immune to the normal warfare of the Flanaess – although at one time a brief conflict with Keoland was fought (c. 450 CY).” [Guide p. 22]
CY 453/OR 1097: “King Tavish III was slain in battle against the Sea Princes (Siege of Westkeep 453 CY), and his son, Tavish IV, immediately changed the polices of the kindgon upon ascending to the throne. After protracted negotiations, the independent state of the Yeomanry was recognized, the Ulek states were granted autonomy, and Keoland returned to its former state of tolerance and prosperity thereafter.” [Guide p. 28]
CY 454?/OR 1098? "Keoland reconsidered its policies thereafter, and allowed the people to elect their own Commandant from amongst the noble houses of Gran March.” [Guide p. 23]
CY 461/OR 1105: “Demi-human realms of Ulek and Celene are affected.” [Guide p. 9]
CY 479/OR 1123: “Might of Iuz grows, humanoid invasions become common.” [Guide p. 9]
CY 479?/OR 1123? “… when humanoid invasions swept over the latter realm[Furyondy], the Margrave Rollo established the independence of the territory [of Bissel] by bravery in service of the King of Furyond (the Bisselites slaughtered a horde of Jebli (goblins) which lay in ambush for King Hugh III, who was guarded by a small train.) The King granted the brave Rollo palatinate status for the deeds performed, and Bissel has enjoyed self-rule since.” [Guide p. 19]
CY 498/OR 1142: “In 498 CY it [Greyhawk] was proclaimed a free and independent city, ruling a territory from Hardby on the Woolly bay to the Nyr Dyv, between the eastern folds of the Cairn Hills and the Gnarley forest, including much of what is now the northern section of the Wild Coast region. These holding has been lost of the intervening decades…” [Guide p. 25]
CY 497/OR 1141: The reclusive School of Magic known as Toadwarts, in the Oytwood, comes to an end as its students flee citing something terrible happening there.
CY 498-510/OR 1142-1154: The Hateful Wars.

[“The Sword of Justice” TD #92, p. 47].
CY 570/OR 1214: Kanos is attacked by brigands and assassins in his manse, and dies by using a retributive strike from his staff in the west tower of his manse. Only a single bandit escaped and told the tale to his captors later. [“The Sword of Justice” TD #92, pp. 47, 51].
