This is one I've been wanting to read for a while, but it kept getting pushed down the list. It's a sequel to the Talisman. The setup is a pretty bad cliche: it's been 30 years and Jack has surpassed all of the Talisman related memories. Jack became a detective that lived in LA, and he retired early off his inheritance and now lives in a small town in Wisconsin. It does not read like a Stephen King novel so far, must be the Peter Straub. I do like the writing though. There is the very Stephen King element of a serial killer who preys on children and has supernatural overtones. The serial killer is nicknamed the Fisherman, and is linked to Albert Fish somehow.
