So, Scott... any chance of you making it out to Wisconsin this year? If not, you can always stop out here in Indiana for a visit! We have to pool our ideas with Gene as we've planned all of these years! ^__^

Throughout my lfe, most of the trips I've made were spur of the moment situations. One evening me and two friends were at a club in downtown Pittsburgh. We left the club to go to another club, but before we got there, we decided to drive to Detroit instead. When Gene and I met at GenCon a few years ago, the idea of going to the Con hadn't even crossed my mind until a few hours before I was in a car driving through the night to get there for the start of the con. There's always a chance I'll make it, but I probably won't know 'til I'm on my way.

Heckfire, I'll rent a hotel room in Lafayette where we can game and create for a weekend if that'll get you and Gene out in the same place at the same time! We can even road-trip up to see the Gar-Bear!

There's still a possibility I'll make it to the Winter Con in January, but otherwise It would be spring before I could manage such a trip.

Spring would be great! We have to get GW on board... we could run an AD&D adventure and a Mythus scenario, and work on various creations we've had on the backburner... If we got this together, we could extend an invite to others as well. Hmmmm (wheels turning... )

I'm definitely planning on making another road trip for next summer. Boy, I was burnt out having stayed up 2 days in a row. Thank goodness for Red Bull and that nearby McDonald's coffee. I still have to check out Gary's recommended diner coffee next year and that "butter burger" thing.
I had my cousin Bill doing most of the driving (he's a professional truck driver) but I pulled a shift through half of Ohio and all of Indiana. That PA drive really broke Bill's resilience ("This state doesn't end!").
Hey GT what do they call the rest stops in Indiana?

I used to drive to Brooklyn almost monthly, and almost always alone. Making it out of Pennsylvania always had a rejuvinating effect on me. Driving back was tougher because you never get out of Pa.

PA is bad, but driving from KC to Denver along I70 in KS is worse.... Scott, you should definitely plan to come to LGGC: we had a great time last year, and I'm hoping for the same this year too

I'd like to make it out to LGGC in summer '08, time and finances permitting of course!

I'll more'n likely be there! Yes, Kansas and Pennsylvania are both long. So is Colorado--you have vertical as well as horizontal!
