I think it was in a Bran Mak Morn story, Howard wrote a history of the Picts migrations. At one point they were dwelling in the Americas. Does anybody remember the details of this?

In REH the Picts are descended from the Altlantean Picts in the Kull story whose leader was Kull's right hand man.
Offhand that does sound vaguely familiar but I'm too busy to dig out my REH books.

I don't remember that at this point, Scott... but it doesn't mean it's not there!

Yes, in Men of the Shadows:
"Far, far across the great, wave tossed vastiness of the Atlantic lie two great continents... And the continents are twin continents, joined by a narrow neck of land. The western coast of that northern continent is fierce and rugged.... But those peaks were islands upon a time, and to those islands came the Nameless Tribe, wandering down from the north... A thousand miles to the north and west had the tribe come into being, there upon the broad and fertile plains close by the northern channels, which divide the continent of the north from Asia."
I guess they came over the Bering Strait to live in the Rocky Mountain Islands, for a while. The Ice Age pushed the Nameless Tribe (Picts) into South America, and then later they sailed to Atlantis. That is presumably when they lived in the Pictish Isles of Kull's time.

OK. I thought they may have originated in North America, but it seems like Asia is the likely origin.
