Hmmm... I never knew that. On the Baklunish thing, was that where somebody asked Gary about using Heirroneuos as a Baklunish god? Yes! THUS SPAKE GARY GYGAX from Oerth journal. Thats the source of that Dorgha Torghu that you keep mentioning that I didn't recollect specifically. As an aside despite the authenticity and it being one of the best Greyhawk writeups in years, it still has a pinch of that tang like its trying to convince Roger Moore or something. Don't you hate that? It just irks the shit out of me.

Since the Baklunish have an obvious resemblance to Arabs, what pantheon(s) are listed for the region in Aerth? I would suggest modeling a pantheon after that. Theres 4 for the region: Aegyptian Babylonian Persian Phonecian Which just about covers everything over there! Back in the 80's, I had used Egyptian, Babylonian and Sumerian gods from Dei & Dem for my GH campaign but I also had specific Assyrian, Zoroastrian (the above "Persian"), and Semitic (the above "Phonecian") represented in the City of Greyhawk with as many fantasy gods as possible as well from the Deit & Dem (Cthulhu, Melnibonean, Nehwon, plus Sauron and Crom). I still have a list of the temples and shrines of Greyhawk recorded by my brother to keep up with my endless barrage of gods (I would throw new ones out there all the time. The Drow under the city worshipped Lolth's brother for example and had a different society.)

I was thinking Babylonian might work.

Xan Yae seems like a migrated god that just happens to have the name Baklunish like for instance in an Eastern hypothetical Atlantis-like continent Xan Yae might be known as an Oeridian god.
