Holy Celestian, Gene... Did I hear Johnny Bond in the background? And if so, how in the Nine Hells did you come by that? ^__^

Ahh; the vocals on "Stands The Glass" sounded just like Johnny Bond's "Three Sheets In The Wind"! ^__^

THERE STANDS THE GLASS is the full title I just wrote it quicjk because I was getting browbeat about cleaning a refrigerator spill when I started writing! Web Pierce's shit I just love. I got hooked on it back in 82 or 83 with Willie Nelson & Webb Pierce's IN THE JAILHOUSE NOW where Willie did covers of Webb's stuff with Webb. A few years later when I first started going with Dorothy(1987-88?) her mother had a "reject record collection" of things that people brought to a party and never reclaimed it from the 50's mostly. Well, there was a Webb album and I was like "Webb Pierce?" and he's young?!? I played it and I was like the original versions of these songs blow away the Willie covers... Another figure that I gained a similar fondness for is Lefty Frizzell, Willie covered a ton of his shit alone in TO LEFTY FROM WILLIE (mid-70's) after Lefty died and i played the shit out of that album not realizing that it was tribute album for years! One day I heard the "Mom and Dad's Waltz" and I was blown away. Not saying that the Willie tributes suck in fact Willie makes you love them more and does it in his "Willie way" that can't be beat. What the hell was I talking about..?

It's still stalling after five seconds or so, each part. Dig the stache though.

Somebody pointed out that the big blocks of text are illegible. If you watch it in high quality they're crystal clear. But I don't how long thats going to take.

Did that end with you lip-synch-ing "Pancho & Lefty" from a vinyl record played at 78 speed?
I enjoyed the videos, Gene, but I'm not sure why... it was hard to follow what was going on in the game itself, but I guess that's not really the point. It looks like a fun group.

Lip synching is pretending to sing to the vocals, right? No, its actually me singing to a karaoke Pancho & Lefty then the whole film speeded up for laughs and and ol' fashioned feel. The original file got corrupted and I can't seem to fix it.
Yeah, as time passes I'm forgetting the good parts that didn't get on film. I planned it around Dorothy's all-girl shindig but that blew up in my face when she snagged my DM cam for taking pictures of the new baby in her family who lives far away.
I just posted a discovery that didn't make it into the film a few days ago. Here, I'll cut and paste it:
On closer inspection, I realized that that is their rear guard for the big encounter. The front and PCs were removed at some point.

And that song, P&L on the credits, was supposed to be an intended "elegy" for Gary. I don't know what it turned into but it started out that way. If you were there you would have got it right away but this film didn't come out the way it was supposed to. Most of the really good random talk about TSR and Gary was never recorded. Plus every round Bill put down the camera then picked it up when it lost momentum.

Hell of a performance, even if it was karaoke. Love the smog monster.
Ah, well, I guess "reality TV" isn't really as easy as it seems! Hard to capture all the good parts.
Maybe I should record one of Scott's games... I'll start the video, after the action is over... with the players saying "What the hell do you mean we're all dead? Again?" and you won't really know what happened or what's going on at that point, except you'll see Scott shrugging behind a tattered DM screen, Eric grumbling, me drinking Bourbon and Mark passed out on the couch about to be attacked by Scott's cat.
"Roll for surprise, Mark."
DEATH, THE SEQUEL (the storyboard):
We roll up new characters. Mark throws his dice, disgusted with low scores. Eric, rolls up yet another cynical character with a chip on his shoulder. I forget, once again, that rangers can't hire henchmen. There is much discussion about single-malt Scotch, what EGG "really meant" by such and such, random talk about Greyhawk, Yggsburgh, Aerth, and what exactly Gregghawk is, and Eric rolling his eyes. Understaffed, we enter another dungeon area. A few kobold javelins or ghoul claws later, and someone says, "What the hell do you mean we're dead -- again?"

Maybe if your charisma was higher, you could convince them that you really do need a few men-at-arms in my campaign.

They're the cheapest of the cheapskates. Although at this point, I think they might be ready for a paradigm shift. If they don't agree to hire men-at-arms next time, I'll just stay in the tavern.
You know, a video of Mark getting attacked by Shibby might actually be worth putting on YouTube.

Speaking of my campaign though, I'm getting ready to start again. But it won't be a bunch of 1st level characters. I'm going to be starting with Tsojcanth. If you have a character in the level range, bring play him, or use a pre-gen, or roll up a new character, or roll up a new character and play a pre-gen until your character can stand o his own, etc. My cousin and nephew have never played the old classics, and I've never DMed them with any real understanding of the rules, so I'll be running a few. Tsojcanth, followed by Tharizdun, Barrier Peaks, and then the GD series is the plan.

I wish I did have a video of Shibby stalking him when he was passed out and snoring on the couch.
