Hey Jeff, just to get a feel for where this stands, are you still working on the writing for this product?

Yes. There will be 5 modules in the box, as you know. Each of these are in varying states of completion, with writing on the latter portions still in the works. Hope that helps...

Ahh, that means we're still months away. Keep up the good work, and keep us posted.

Sure thing. Was burning the midnight oil last night, as a matter of fact.

Hello fellows, I know that some of you guys would like an update on the progress of The Upper Works, and I know I've been relatively quiet of late on the message boards (with the exception of TLG where I must serve as an official voice for the product line and answer questions). Here is the scoop: The Upper Works will contain 5 adventure booklets and 1 map/illustration booklet. The first 4 booklets of the set are in the hands of the copy editor. Art and maps are being worked on as we speak, with the bulk of the work complete. The 5th and final booklet of the set I am still tinkering with, but soon the editor will have it in his hands to peruse. All is going well. I wish Gary could've seen the final product. Thanks for the support and interest, --Jeff T.

I got my 'stimulus' check yesterday; I'm the only person I know that didn't get it direct deposited months ago. I just pre-ordered CZ II: The Upper Works with the funds. It's probably the only positive association I'll ever have with W's time in office. And While I was ordering, I was informed that it should ship next week.

Nice that you finally got your check. I hear there are still mucho problemos. But yeah, thanks W. I put my pre-order in a few days ago. Man, I'm excited about this release. Can't wait for it.

I also pre-ordered this. There are not many things I pre-order, but I have been waiting to see this for almost thirty years and I am not waiting one more day than necessary...
Uh, Rhuvein your gender says "female," so you may want to edit your profile, or walk through a Tomb of Horrors archway or something... Or, I don't know, maybe I'm wrong!

Where do you order it from? TLG? I mean, I could search around, but I'm feeling lazy right now.

I called in an order to the Trolls.

Thanks, Scott. "The Trolls" made me think of Bert, Tom and Bill, the three trolls that captured Bilbo and the dwarves...

Definitely looking forward to this. Jeff, is it still on-track for GenCon?

Thanks for supporting the product, fellows. It's a tough market to crack these days, and every order is important.
Allan, always a pleasure to hear from you. As far as I understand it, it will be available for Gen Con and pre-orders will likely begin shipping well before. But I can't say anything with the utmost certainty, because my contribution to the Upper Works is complete. It's in the hands of the Trolls now.

My payment has been confirmed. A troll named Steve said it is most likely CZ II will ship towards the end of August.

Thank-you so much. I really mean it when I say how much I appreciate each and every order. The support means a lot, especially when it comes from the stellar group of gamers that hang out here. I look for ward to your commentary and insights, and I don't expect anyone to pull any punches, just because I hang out here. Let me know what works for you, what doesn't work for you. I'm all ears.

I'm going to try to persuade Scott to DM it for me. There's a bottle of fine Scotch and a Black Angus steak in it for him, if he does. Ideally, I'd like to play through it, and then read it later. I just don't know if I can resist reading it, though, once it gets here!

No persuasion needed. I've been sketching out a campaign that I will be starting shortly after I get the Upper Works. When I ordered this, Steve said, 'end of next week', but I guess end of next 'month' was what he meant, based on all of the other info I've seen.

Bottle of Scotch and an Angus steak? Make it a 12 of Guinness and a steak and I'll drive out from Indiana! ^__^
