Any suggestions on what the stats for Magister Setne Inhetep would look like?

I'd have to go back and re-read the series for that! He once entered the Duat as I recall; and that takes (A) excellent stats and (B) major cajones! ^__^

The Gord yarns were good and Greyhawk and all that, but the Setne stories are probably Gary's best writing in my opinion, you could really see Gary maturing as an author.

They are re-releasing them by the way. The Anubis Murders is out. The next one is due out in April I think.

If you haven't read them, you should--they capture the "spirit" of Mythus quite well! Despite any Gary disclaimers, he was quite taken with the system and invested much of his experience into it (as did we all!). He also has some unpublished works of a "Fafhrd and Gray Mouser-like" duo--one was called Stoat, I think-- that I hope to see in print someday! ^__^

Probably only if updated to the LEarth setting.

I have read them, but sold my original copies, so I'll be picking up the re-releases. Same with the Gord books.

He was at least a full practitioner in both Priestcraefting and Dweomercraefting and likely generated Heka from all three Traits. With some careful reading more could be mined. I can think of at least one occasion when he used an OTS-C which he was not prepared for so that would have used a lot of [glow=red,2,300]Heka[/glow]!

Oh yeah, the books really make him out to be quite accomplished at both Priestcraefting and Dweomercraefting. And occasionally, maybe once per book, he pulls off something that shows how really bad ass he is. These are probably Gary’s best writing.
