How about some examples of play from you Mythus veterans? Something that establishes the flavor of the game, and examples of the mechanics in action. EGG mentioned that he ended up using the Flanaess map because it was so cool and handy for his Mythus campaign, and that the action took place around Hommlet, Verbobonc, and maybe the ToEE. Anybody participate in that campaign? Scott

Heh! No; I actually used the Aerth setting--generally between Francia and the Near Azirian areas. We had a very multi-national group (my first character was a thief from Ys and my best friend had a mercenary from Francia--the archetypical thief-fighter combo! They were soon joined by characters from Russ, Farz, Germania, Nippon, and even an elf from Phaeree (she was kind of an amalgamation of Amberlee from the Elfstones of Shanarra and Madoka from the anime series 'Kimagure Orange Road'). Anyway, everybody had a story for their characters and the interactions were very cool! For example, Nikolai was the mercenary from Russ, who was a former member of the Sterlitz which guarded the tsar. He became disillusioned with the nepotism and wealth affecting advancement in the ranks and left to become a mercenary to the west. My thief, Grigori, was half brother to the assassin Grygg whose stats can be found in the Mythus player manual (...and who was suspiciously the age and description of me [Greg]!!!) Ys being a sorcerous place was dangerous to thieves and Grigori left for Francia to pass himself off as a 'mercenary'; and that was where he hooked up with Louis who actually is a mercenary... Well, the examples go on, and as there are analogs to our Earth for Aerth, coming up with a character history was fairly easy for everyone--we pulled out the ol' history books for a bit of historical flavor, and voila!
