Right now I'm auditing all projects and campaign notes and shaking out every NPC. Of course, that means more gods, demons and magic from gameplay piling up. Right now I'm in the equivalent of Lothlorien/Rivendell where I had some off the deep end immersive games.
The slowdown on the PDF premiere hit some snags because I want it to be airtight moving forward.

My version of the East is different from OA in that it's straightforward violence. There is no "honor" or "manners" and characters are we the same except ninja and samurai from Dragon.

My version of the East is different from OA in that it's straightforward violence. There is no "honor" or "manners" and characters are the same except ninja and samurai from Dragon. I don't recall any "honor" in Asian cinema except perhaps the lies from RASHOMON. Honestly? That same system of fancy "fruitery" can easily be applied to fantasy Europe (Get embroidering and illuminating D&Ders! ) but it wasn't. That was the main play that I'm stripping out the later cheese OA straight crap piled up by the other shared campaign DMs who honestly were not as deep into history and the supernatural as I was outside of the game. As for my ideas I am trying to sort through where this Asian-style material all came from. I was heavy into "real" monsters pre-D&D but some of these things just "fit" rather than having a folklore pedigree with more of a Frank Miller feel of what felt appropriate in the east. So quite a few monsters are just "type v demon" style asian.
