I just read this, mainly because I got another three-month Kindle Unlimited deal for $0.99 and it popped up as a suggestion. It was a quick read, with a fairly standard haunted house or demonic possession set up. There were a few interesting details about how the supernatural was handled later in the book, but I don't want to spoil it. I liked how the author drew inspiration from local legends in England which is where this story is set.
I've also been reading INTO THE BLACK: TALES OF LOVECRAFTIAN TERROR (2019) by William Meikle, a collection of short stories that have some good ideas but mediocre execution (for example, the Mi-Go demand an end to World War II by appearing to national leaders and threatening destruction of London and Berlin with super-weapons if the war is not ended... the idea sounds more intriguing than the story actually is).
