I watched this last night, it was dubbed into English and it was a slice of life/day-to-day zombie movie which wasn't the standard kill mode but definitely hearkening back to the stationary dead origins so its like zombie horror on a less but still violent subtler tone and dealing with it on an isolated individual level.

French zombies makes me think "Brains... with a fresh baguette... and some aged cheese..."

I am particular to non-standard French movies for their standards within themselves as trying to explore some new angle. Where I can see this story unfolding in America but not in an American film. Right off the bat it would not be a wimp ass guy and it would be a tough lady so that big reality immediately would be gone. Another would be the definition of this person as an admirer of music. Immediately it would be a chain of oldies but goodies (and if a British film revolved around a Queen song). Instead its mostly obscure or unrecognizable English-speaking tunes.
