For a change of pace I've been watching some very different TV shows, all excellent: BoJack Horseman, Big Mouth, and Chef's Table. I recommend them all. The first two are hilarious. The last is a show not so much about the cooking but about the chef's life experience and journey to culinary greatness. Something inside of me always wants to get to the next level of cooking, so I'm fascinated with high-level chefs.

I get a message when I log into Netflix that my device (Samsung Smart TV bought in 2010) will no longer be compatible as of Dec. 1. So, I'm seriously considering ending my subscription rather than buy a new compatible TV. I was thinking: do I even really need Netflix? I finished BOJACK HORSEMAN and I should finish ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT and AGENTS OF SHIELD by the end of the month. I watched the first two seasons of DAREDEVIL and first season of each of the other Marvel TV shows but honestly I lost interest in them... IRON FIST and PUNISHER were both sort of a slog, and all of them have too much filler to keep me engaged on a regular basis. I'd rather read or try to do something creative.

They're on the teeny STRANGER THINGS obsession but I already mentioned that Netflix seems to be 90% movies for people of the Middle East and India.
We've had "Prime" before there was a Prime TV for the discounts and free shipping.
I pushed hard to get Dark Crystal in this weekend and it was a bust.
I literally cannot watch anything.
That said I'm thinking about Disney Plus for the Marvel material.

Well, if you never have time to watch what you want that means you are spending time with your family like a good dad -- and you deserve some credit for that!

Well, if you never have time to watch what you want that means you are spending time with your family like a good dad -- and you deserve some credit for that! FINALLY! RECOGNITION!!! I am not really a TV person. In the 1990's I was one of these people who just watched movies and maybe caught what was on the air here and there. I watched Trek the Next Generation out of habit. I think that I O.D.ed on cable when I was living in Florida in the late 80's after missing out in the hills of northwestern Connecticut I was a cable junkie. So I started a clean slate when I was on my own (And in charge of the bills!) and said movies only for more... uh... whats the name of that game again?
