I much prefer the "Bottle City" treatment over the "Castle Zagyg" treatment. I'd rather get scans of the original maps and keys, with commentary, than... well, anything else. I don't want to get EGG's notes filtered through some other designer's ideas.
Agreed, that is what I prefer. I don't mind if there is polished product, as long as the original source material is also made available in some manner.

The reason for the computer game announcement being a computer game announcement is that it is a computer game announcement by a company (Fig) that does computer game announcements about crowdfunding. That does not mean Gygax Games is only going to license the IP for computer games. Announcements for other projects will be done in the future. The cart is before the horse here due to an opportunity that presented itself nothing more. Part of the job of Fig is to find out if something is exciting and therefore viable to be made into a product.
