I remember being a big fan of the series as a kid. So I’ve been looking forward to this. The story moves slowly. Creating strong female characters seems like it was a priority. The new robot is definitely an upgrade over the old B-9. The original Will Robinson has a cool cameo in the first episode. Several episodes in and so far, so so.

***SLIGHT SPOILER ABOUT CAMEO***
I watched the first episode of the reboot. The visuals were great, but it felt pretty contrived, and was missing some charm the original had. Strong female characters and diversity are the new norms, they are boxes that must be checked off for every TV show or movie... and honestly, I'm indifferent to that if the story is good, but otherwise it just adds to the sense of contrivance, like I'm watching a checklist. I'd rather see strong female characters than damsels in distress, but that doesn't have to be at the expense of male characters... And that seems to be the case here. I was always more of a STAR TREK guy, but I thought the original LOST IN SPACE was pretty good when I was a kid. It kind of turned into the Will and Dr. Smith show for a while. I totally missed the Billy Mumy cameo -- LOL, he played Doctor Smith, before Parker Posey stole his jacket and his identity and left him to die! That's actually pretty cool.
