For WOG deities, are their clerics permitted to match any of the worshippers' alignments listed, or must it be an exact match to their deity's alignment?
Tritherion is CG, but it lists worshippers' alignments as CG and CN - is it permissible to be a CN cleric of Tritherion?
Ehlonna is NG, but listed worshippers' alignments are NG, any good, N - is it permissible to be a LG, CG, or N cleric of Ehlonna?
Istus is listed as worshippers' alignment any, neutral preferred?
Ralishaz is listed as worshippers' alignment any, usually chaotic?

Deities & Demigods says clerics must be of the exact same alignment as their deity, but the WOG seems to be more lax on that point - we know per Gary's "Clerics live by other rules" essay in Dragon #92 that there are druids (necessary TN) who worship Ehlonna (NG), and the write-up of Wee Jas in Dragon #88 mentions clerics of all three lawful alignments, even though she's LN(E). I'm sure there are other examples as well. I'd say that points to any of the Worshipper's Alignments being allowed for clerics in the WOG setting.

A lot of the WoG deities blur the lines. Cuthbert and Pholtus are both LG (N), Iuz is CE (N). Etc. I’d think the alignment will usually match, but there’s probably leeway in most cases.

I’ve never used the Dieties and Demigods rules. The book is good inspiration, but not for the rule additions.
