I tried a mockup without layout or images/maps that came to 136 pages. Had to iron out some details in the village this weekend. Still no idea what the preview is going to be in the form of at this point.

I'm embellished the other "good" race today so these are really coming together nicely. I honestly can't wait for opinions on this shit.

I have 8 monsters to draw yet with final images.
In other stuff, I haven't been too clever on my Instagram-ing the D&D photos (that I forward to Facebook). I have to put more thought into it.
I think I've resigned the idea of DMing for that group that I mentioned in the beginning of the year. It seemed like a good idea but now it seems way too complicated. They want me to go setup over there seemingly whenever they randomly decide its a good time for them and their friends. I think I'm a little too old for that shit...
In family hell update: We're talking about moving to somewhere more woodsy as my daughter needs a big change so as negative as that seems for me it might also mean more game time and less urban tomfoolery.

Did 11 monster illos for to be published adventure this past week so I think that section is 100% creative-wise done with scanning and layout coming up.
Did some slight continuity writing on tying implied thkngs directly.

On the published adventure front, I had to iron out the "big picture" of outer connected countries map for this. It was cool but way too cool for a B&W image. Now its lighter with a more legible font instead of the old freehand image grabs from a handout.
I'm still editing and layout though too much summer "fun" going on lately which is killing my "sorcerous" mood.

On the published adventure front, had a major bump that needed tackling I was going to leave this area simple but I want this to be a utility package for someone with a busy schedule. So I had to do 10 maps for it. I wonder what that could be if isn't a "dungeon"? Anyway, just finished an intensive map-making, research and creative developing for this and there is going to be yet another new monster in this "non-dungeon" area. There are aspects of things outside this adventure some are direct content but most are just hints. Right now to the southeast of the area in this adventure is a gigantic pile of "unironed clothes" of old game play which is reserved for the next big project. It seems that my series of connected adventures after that is never going to get any attention at this rate but I'll try. Once this thing is free and clear I'm going to do some blog follow ups.

That name sounds familiar but maybe I'm thinking of someone else. It says was an OSR founder. Is it someone with an avatar name?

He generally goes by Kramer on DF and KnK. But Jim ran his own publishing company, Usherwood, and put out several adventures of his own, as well as published for others: www.usherwoodadventures.com/I think he only did 1E/OSRIC stuff.

Some news and updates on _Saving Throw_: 1. Thank you for your generous support of this project!---Saving Throw has been as high as #3 on the DriveThru's best sellers list this week, outpacing both Eclipe Phase 2nd Edition and Legend of the Five Rings! That wouldn't have been possible without your support! 2. Please continue to spread the word---Saving Throw isn't even a week old yet, so many old-school gamers won't be aware of it: mention it in your gaming groups, your local game stores, and in your social media channels! Your primary link should be back to the DriveThru project page at www.drivethrurpg.com/product/288750/Saving-Throw-fundraiser-fanzine-for-James-D-Kramer3. Bryce "tenfootpole.org" Lynch's very positive review is at tenfootpole.org/ironspike/?p=6236 and user Guggy Z on DriveThru commented as a verified purchaser that "What a great zine! Just skimming I think the hours of solid play to page count ratio looks immense, and I appreciate the chance to support a good cause. This stuff is going right to my table ASAP!" More news and updates on my blog (including about the forthcoming print edition) @ grodog.blogspot.com/2019/09/saving-throw-osric-fundraiser-zine-news-and-updates.htmlThank you again, and please continue to share the project to amplify its visibility---the more gamers who are aware of it, the more support it will bring to Jim and his family! Allan.

I'm going through the NPCs for my published adventure from every angle this past week or so. About halfway through making them stylish, airtight and simple so when they're grabbed there is no confusion. I've had some namedropping within but not too much however there is an in-campaign association that leads to one of my old characters so that is mentioned throughout as it has optional ties to the next thing that I'm going to do which is going from low scale barony to big scale strange kingdom and big layered strange dungeon. There is no real character backgrounds just pragmatic current association with incidental "history". The "history" DMs are not going to be my target audience rather supplying campaign history makers are the real goal. My old character "Corlag" does not appear but his race does. I think there has to be some supplying of just who is this character mentioned throughout this is at some point. I don't believe that a short story would work as it would just compound more confusion.(I might have to make a wargame in itself to completely "get it"! ) For the next adventure, I was going to do a comic but every comic that I had started, in the past 20 years or so, has never made it past character development and initial concept. One of the name dropped character's presence that is felt in this current project, it is very slight and not that "yielding", this is the "star" of the comic. So he is definitely appearing in the next thing so the next one is going to be a look into the campaign in action at its highest and lowest level.

I've always enjoyed your one panel comics, Gene! I have an idea: why not just do a one page comic with your character without committing to doing anything longer? Maybe it will free you up so that you don't feel overwhelmed by a big project.

I need to write a novel about the making of this adventure. I feel like I am in a real life comedy. Or some kind of Mad Magazine feature with different bad results for the same situation. I am almost through with the npcs so that is the last text check. Wooo! A lot of it is formatted already but all the pics aren't scanned yet.

I have files lined up for final layout. So maybe today that will be done then finalize the cover. Once thats done see if it needs more illustration altogether.
After that its the next step. Actual publication. Then promotion. Garycon?

I'm now up to 210 pages after all the formatting with the maps. I have to change around the appendixes to be more visible tomorrow. Its looking good but it needs some more ironing of the layout on the map pages and keys and then the contents and index. So maybe tomorrow I might be starting on finishing the cover.

Processing...<<< TZZT >>> Stepping back and flipping through the file altogether I'm liking it so far but I wish I could say more but it has to be completely done. Then I'll spill what exactly this is.
