The graphics look good but I'm not fond of that Warhammer style.

I don't mind the Warhammer style as long as it's in Warhammer. It's when it starts belleding into other games that it bothers me.

Was Mordheim a miniatures game set in the Warhammer Fantasy world? I vaguely remember the miniatures, and I think I used to get this game confused with Mage Knight, which came out around the same time.
I always liked the Warhammer Fantasy game, although I only played it a few times, so I'm curious about this video game. The system was different from D&D without being too math heavy. The setting, as I recall, was a sort of dark, gritty fantasy version of Europe in the High Middle Ages.

Mordheim is a standalone game within the Warhammer Fantasy universe. Rules for one shot games I believe. Eric and Mark would know better than me.

Some kids were trying to get my 15 year old daughter to play "D&D" last week and she just told me its actually Warhammer and she said its "all cartoony". I told her that I lost track of GAMES WORKSHOP at their inception practically because of the style. I have some 1981-1983 Citadel miniatures that were pre-Warhammer but I don't I have a single Warhammer thing except for a 1992 plastic boardgame they did with Milton Bradley: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_MastersI chopped up some of the plastic bases that would fit 4 or 5 horsemen to make them separate but the style is still offputting. I painted the ogre entirely black to hide his features. In 1996, I was walking down the street in Greenpoint and someone thew out a pile of old boardgames and that was in the pile with a few missing pieces. Thats why I have two battlemats.

I had Battle Masters. A friend of mine (Eric Bachman) added some house rules to it. Random events. I can't remember much, other than adding a random dragon encounter.
