I posted a revised version of my "AD&D Companion" - most of the changes are corrected typos and reformatting (some bits got moved around) but I also made a few additions:
1. Added a devil (Bitru, Duke of Hell) included in EGG's MM2 Preview in Dragon #75 but missing from the actual MM2 (and that I'd overlooked the first time around)
2. Added the bits about the life-cycles of gargoyles and marlgoyles that Gary wrote in Polyhedron #21 & 22
3. Added the revised dragon damage for the FF and MM2 dragons from Dragon #110 (to go with the MM1 dragon info from #98) and made some other errata-type fixes and things to be consistent with the other changes I'd made (modified some damage and psionic strength values) for the FF and MM2 monsters
4. Added my house rules for psionics (most significant: psionic strength is rolled by level like hit points, not gained all at once at 1st level)
5. Added house rule notes/clarifications to a couple more spells
6. Added some more combat house rules (including a couple of things that go all the way back to Chainmail - indirect missile file and the bonus to hit heavily-armored prone opponents with daggers or spears)
7. Expanded the currency table to include the lower and higher-value currency mentioned in EGG modules (bronze in WG4, mithral and adamantine in D1-3) plus more types mentioned in the Gord novels and DJ: Mythus (iron, brass, oracalcum)
8. Added some house rules for monks to beef them up a bit, especially at low levels (based on looking at the OD&D monk - it was more powerful relative to the other classes than the AD&D version
Even if you want to ignore my house rule stuff, items 1, 2, and 7 have direct EGG provenance and probably make it worth re-downloading. Apologies if anybody printed out the old version (or, like a guy at K&K, actually uploaded it to Lulu and bought a printed copy). I don't plan to do it again.

Is it possible to put together an add on appendix version?

You mean like a 3-4 page document with just the new stuff? Sure, I could pull something like that together pretty easily.

I was just thinking of those old DUNEGEON MASTERS GUIDES that had photocopies of the DRAGON pages.

I wrapped up my extended interview with John Dennett (of Grenadier Models fame) the previous weekend, and it'll be included in the new edition of _Fantastic Worlds of Grenadier_ next month.
I also got permission from WotC to reprint some art for our Holmes fiction collection, which is one of the last things before we can wrap that project up, hopefully next month too.
Then I'm back to writing events for 2017 GaryCon and NTX, and finishing my Iounic Caverns module manuscript (ideally, in time to print for GaryCon).
Allan.

I think there is just too much pencil mess on these maps to throw them up.
I don't want to post some and then they're contradicting when the module comes out. And it will.
As it stands BROKEN CASTLE text-wise is all organized in layout all it needs are gaps filled in and then a final polish. Two paintings are sketched out three times but not on the canvas. An initial cover painting was done but I want a redo. (BTW I also did a cover for the first of the interconnected series.) Interior illos need immersive shots. Monsters are all sketched but not fnal.

My blog was a hit last month but the numbers of views are increasing. I started with Australia as the leader in non-US views, then the lead went to France and now its China.
Maybe I should consider putting up my Oriental material.

I started working on the Orient post. Stripping down some of the campaign material so that it makes more generic sense. Its three monsters this time and a magic item. All in one post! Coming soon!

I went out and came back to it yesterday and it looks good so far. Sticking to the "OA was a bad approach" view. Needs illos that I'm doing later.

Okay here is a whole gang of invading Asian monsters from the 80's when they resided right in an Eastern colony called "Gajinia". I've stripped down most of the funny language reference that I thought would make it richer (it didn't) and made them more pragmatic for D&D in how they basically appeared and ready to drop anywhere: justkeeponrollin.blogspot.com/2016/11/secret-of-greater-trolls-part-six.html

Its weird that China was a big viewer of my blog last month but this month it seems the French are into it more. Next installment: SECRET OF THE GREATER TROLLS PART SEPT: THE FOURME D'AMBERT TROLL Seriously, I might update the "Lesser Tarrasque" on that French angle.

Some people couldn't read the XP on the last post so I reformatted the whole last post.

The D20 version, that was on a website in 2002, was never used but this one which is a return to the original was from the 1990's when I was obsessing over authentic real world fantasy material. Of course, at the same time I was injecting monsters straight out of video games into the campaign as well. So it was during a trip into "France" that I wanted something French in style. I was already featuring CASTLE AMBER (1981) after doing "Amber" twice in the 80's (once as player and once as DM) and featuring Averoigne as synonymous with Auvergne, France and "The Aquitaine" had become associated with an immortal King Conan's medieval Aquilonia so other French things were being sought out. And the whole of Tarrasque encounters of the 80's (once straight out of the book DMed by this kid in my class then Taylor DMed 1986's MINES OF BLOODSTONE shitfest) kind of fizzled but the legend was massive enough to be noted all over. So I think it was a need for justification.
The post-apocalypse Greyhawk characters were knighted at the Court of Arthur and now were heading into the mainland to follow the Rhine through Mirkwood (which had just entered into this quasi-European fantasy world) into New Mordor. King Arthur had given them his backup sword "Caliburn" to take with them which was a duplicate of Excalibur. So they were armed to the teeth when encountering these things although Caliburn was the sole artifact of the group they all were characters comfortable with their array of equipment.

I've set the goal for the blog this weekend and SECRET OF THE GREATER TROLLS is just going to be ongoing forever. I'm going to come up with other themes but I need some more time to use what I have made already. Here are some themes (besides content) from the mock layout of Mortal Worm Magazine that I was batting around as an online "magazine" in the early 2000s that never happened:
A) In-character, in-world rambling with different POVs. A regular article about things on their plate currently with stats always for things they are talking about.
B) Very short captioned ala newspaper/magazine one shot comics maybe with a recurring theme (ala Addams Family in THE NEW YORKER) NOTE: This would be in addition to ongoing WORMY-like comic that I have planned for the big dungeon
C) Planar article on different worlds/concepts including modern/science fiction elements to a degree
I'm up for all of them as part of my don't stop working philosophy but if there is any particular interest then I might emphasize one faster.
