I forgot about that one. I had that on to talk to some science goons that I knew from last year. They only take you seriously if you're wearing a tie outside the lab.

I've got more oldie but goodie one for the blog. The content of "Secret of the Greater Trolls part two" is something that has been an old shoe in my campaign with my numerous delvings into "trollery" but when I did the Greater Troll for 3E on my webpage in 2002 as an update to a 2nd Edition version uploaded to the TSR website in the 1990's (1998?) I had wrote a Secrets part One but never followed it up. So this is essentially what was on the website including the original drawing with the green filter but instead of the 2E version from the TSR site (1998) and the 3E version from the website its the original uncut AD&D version from 1992: justkeeponrollin.blogspot.com/2016/09/secret-of-greater-trolls-part-one.htmlPart two already has a sketch so it just needs ironing out.

I like the troll variations, with greater trolls having once been craftsmen of the gods, and dark trolls being a variation resulting from regenerating "too many times." Your greater troll reminded me of a variation I had done several rough drafts for based on the Fomorian miniatures from Alternative Armies. The first time I saw those miniatures I thought: AD&D troll variation! Fomorian trolls being, basically, slightly more intelligent trolls that wield armor and weapons and with some that can also use magic -- from some older civilization -- and perhaps related to marine trolls or scrags: www.alternative-armies.com/products/er12-fomorian-championsThe salt water trolls from MM2, ranging slightly more intelligent than normal trolls (low to average) and with the most intelligent among them (10%) using armor, were, I thought, a good basis for the Fomorian trolls. A half-baked background idea was: Fomorian trolls and Fomorian giants share some common origin from which they both derive their name... Possibly a land where they both came from that at some point was horribly ravaged by chaos magic. The chaos magic warped the surviving giants whose descendants are strong but horribly deformed (c. f. "Giant, Fomorian" in S4 or MM2). The troll descendants were not deformed in the same way due to their regenerative properties, but may have been altered in other ways. The chaos may have been unleashed in an ancient time when gods still walked the earth and made war upon the likes of giants and trolls.

Wait! I have even more greater trolls. One is so routine in my campaign since the 80's its almost a joke how bad they are but they're coming soon (maybe part 5 as 3 and 4 are a demon and a then a racial god sort of the Vaprak of the campaign). Then after all that there is another troll but I'll save him for last (6?).
As for other stuff I'm considering:
I was thinking of reapproaching the 3 entries for the Pied Piper Contest (a monster, a location and a magic item) with a little more expansion/illustration. The monster went into the underground adventure that was on the second video but they didn't go down there where it was residing although they saw their larger "living god". So I could do all that.
Then maybe some follow up on Trowbane that I discussed with Gary otherwise where is this going to go? I can fit his monastery into the Temple area map that I did then write about it in that context. Maybe a blog with a link to a download for that.
The thing for PPP's ERKME e-mail called "philosopher's cyst" maybe a redo with all the content (the original drawing too) and expansion.
There is a lot of campaign content in my big dungeon (Skulldon), the Village campaign module (Broken Castle) and the first installment of the connected series but I don't want to retread anything for those.

I added text to the PPP contest entries to make them AD&D from generic text but I think that I'm going to illustrate them.
To clarify on the greater troll order:
Part 3: Continues part 2's demon as an adult Part 4: A demonic troll god of the campaign not pre-Vaprak just an evolution for something different Part 5: Campaign troll magical hybrid Part 6: Campaign troll variant

Sorry about the delay on the trolls. I just opened a notebook and found even more big ass troll related material. I have to polish up the demon troll, the weird campaign troll but the troll god is practically done. They all have sketches done as well. The other weird campaign troll needs to be sketched.
Did more on "T1-4" supplement all maps are laid out and numbered.

I definitely feel great about doing it as its getting the albatross off my neck. I'm going to have to redo the elemental evil greater area map to fit the monastery of Saint Trowbane at a good distance. So it'll at least get mentioned until I finish the Hommlet area encounters as a pdf. I wonder if I should make it look Greyhawky or I should just come up with a different look. I'll admit I haven't stayed up late and I'm making time by positive thinking. D&D is constantly broken because no one cares anymore. Caring and sharing will always win in the end!

I think I am and always will be a D&D maniac so what better way to express that than by letting everyone know? I think I was prompted by TFoster's supplement to just go full charge though so I'd like to give him some credit.
