I've kind of caught with Marvel but have lagged behind majorly with DC as far as TV shows.
I thought the JESSICA JONEs show wasn't bad but I can't find the time to watch the rest.
DAREDEVIL season 2 is suppoesed to start.
I've missed two episodes of AGENT CARTER and that is surprisingly an absorbing show. I think the thing they are dealing with is the "Dark Force". Anybody remember that? I think that is what "Cloak's" power originally was but it was retconed into something else.
WALKING DEAD is still exciting but FEAR THE WALKING DEAD was surprisingly slow and not as compelling.
As far as the theater the last thing I saw I think was STAR WARS when it came out.
I stopped playing WITCHER 3 around Xmas because I started playing FALLOUT 4 which is totally engulfing. Highlights of FO4 is that it has a Gamma World like charm without out talking animals and plants and its setting (BOSTON) has many HPL references some involving entire scenarios.

I've been thinking about Fallout 4. That may be just enough to get me to buy it.

unfortunately its dangerously addictive. Think Minecraft buildability but more pre-made and first person shooter console with option for computer fps freedom.

I always have an aversion to jumping into an existing franchise. I'm interested in the Bioshock, Fallout and Witcher series, but I think I would want to play the original games first prior to the sequels. So, maybe that means buying some collections of the older games.
I like what I've seen about the Marvel TV shows, but nothing has hooked me.
As I get older, I've grown to dislike the 'time sink' of video games and TV series. For video games, that means especially 'grind' style of play (mindless quests, mindless monster slaying, non-challenging but repetitive and/or time-consuming play, etc.). Lately, I feel like I'd rather do something creative, or interactive, with my free time.

The Batman (2004 - 2008) is on Netflix now. I've been watching that again. The Walking Dead is the only series I'm keeping current with at the moment, but I'll probably give FtWD another shot. Haven't watched Daredevil. I like Agents of Shield, but I'm way behind. I keep wanting to watch Gotham, Dusk til Dawn, etc. but can't find the time. I watch the Critical Role D&D game on Geek & Sundry's Youtube channel.

Ever since my nephew got tattooed on INKMASTER my wife, who likes tattoos and was watching tattoo shows for years, has sucked me into watching it with her. I don't even like tattoos but the content is usually some fantasy crap so its not too bad.
As far as You Tube stuff, I like YouTube and will binge on random shit. My daughter got me into cringe compilation videos. If you don't what it is, I didn't either, its various clips of unintentional awkwardness. Pure entertainment. I spent three hours watching one time.
I try to watch the REGULAR SHOW on Cartoon Network which hooked me in ever since they had a D&D episode a few years ago.
ADULT SWIM had my favorite show of all time EAGLEHEART but that went off and its been so depressing without it. They had a great show called YOUR PRETTY FACE IS GOING TO HELL but I think that is over as well. The Velvet Lurker episode is my favorite.

I liked Gravity Falls a lot, but that has ended. Regular Show is one of my favorites. I used to Like Adventure Time. It started out with a D&D vibe, but it morphed into a weirdness that doesn't grab me as much.

I just watched the JOHN ADAMS miniseries (2008) starring Paul Giamatti. It was based on the biography of John Adams by David McCullough, and one of the best TV shows I've watched in a while. I liked it because it focused on the American Revolution from angles I haven't seen before.

I'm having deja-vu or somebody recommended that already. Actually, my wife got off the Giamatti train after LADY IN THE WATER (2006) and was groaning through JOHN DIES AT THE END (2012). I still haven't watched AMAZING SPIDERMAN 2 (2014) with him. God, I think she went through every horror movie on Netflix. Its like clockwork orange around here. Does anyone have HULU? There is a Stephen King miniseries that is straight up King style starring James Franco called "11.22.63" and he goes into an unexplained time portal that goes to one time in the early 60's to stop the the Kennedy assassination. Its a nice production so far.

Yeah, well what do I know... I'm so far behind I'm just watching THE WIRE for the first time!
I would like to check out "11.22.63." I didn't read that one. I'm kind of curious about how it ends. Will he succeed in stopping the assassination, and create an alternate future? Or will reality warp around him in some way, so that the past effectively cannot be changed?

Has anyone been following the Negan-mania on WALKING DEAD?
Its some guy from the comics that is a fan-favorite but I haven't read that far. They've been slowly creeping in eclipsing the threat of "the Wolves". They're saying he's worse than "the Governor".

I know how Negan makes his entrance in the comics and I don't what to say because I'm afraid of spoiling it. Actually, I think they will change it slightly for the show. But still, I expect it will be one of the most brutal/upsetting scenes in the show so far.

Yeah, I remember the Negan arc, and I've been wondering how close they were going to stay to the comic. You're right about the possible impact.

I wish there were more shows as exciting. They make you like characters then destroy them.

The Kids said to me the other day when they were off that we should watch a movie. They said that we never watched the SPONGEBOB FISH OUT OF WATER movie...
YE GODS! WHAT DID I WATCH?!?!
That might be the worst movie ever made.

I finally started Fallout 4 today. You were right; it's totally immersive. It's the same company that does Elder Scrolls, and it's like that level detail set in a Gamma World type setting. I also bought Dark Souls III, but didn't get to try it yet. I was broadcasting on Twitch for the first time too, party of 1.

I never played ELDER SCROLLS past ELDER SCROLLS 3: MORROWIND (2002). Everybody tried to convince me it changed but I think I managed one too many skill tree by talking to a cat person! FALLOUT 4 is loaded but like all video games eventually it feels computery so for me this is after like 4 months of convincing play about over an hour a day on average.

I liked Morrowind, but I stayed away from the cat people. I liked Skyrim too, but never got to play very much. You're right, there will always be a computery feel about computer/console games, but I can live with it. Yesterday I coached two soccer games and then went to the zoo, so I didn't have much time for gaming. When I got home I played Fallout for an hour before passing out. I made it to Concord, got killed by some raiders, and crashed.

Yeah, I know the feeling. Kids! Kids!KIDS!
Speaking of the kids, the girls, who are teen and tween, like to game but its mostly console kewl (horror, etc.) although one of them is playing FALLOUT SHELTER on the phone. No D&D of course. They can't help but associate RPGs with card culture by default and the official D&D products they see around school doesn't help. I think they perceive their dad's interests as I would have seen Abbot & Costello in the 1970's. Cool but not of this time.

My 9 year old plays D&D, and he's pretty good. My 6 year old wants to play, but we haven't yet. They both are electronic gamers. PVZ: Garden Warfare 2, and Star Wars Battlefront being their main interests right now.
