I just watched a tutorial its like you have to keep reminding people like a reporter that "We are doing blah, blah, blah..." like its an on location thing so anyone can see it and tune in. I've joked like that but actual live feed sounds like a challenge... this may affect my entire life.. I'll do it! The Dungeon downstairs is a garbage dump at this point maybe if I clean it up I can have a nutty tour of my crap.

I've broadcast live from the sidelines a few times when I was coaching soccer. I've thought about trying it while gaming, but haven't yet.

Does the live broadcast automatically get saved as a video? Is that an option? Or are they two completely separate things? I'm more interested in recording video and audio that can be played back later, than live feeds, especially when it comes to game sessions. I did record a few clips from our Friday game nights, over the past few years, but I haven't posted them anywhere yet. There is a clip of Eric DMing AD&D, and one with Mark and Brian goofing off, and a few of Ray running some "Call of Cthulhu" games. But they are all partial clips and don't have an entire game session even when combined so I doubt their worth to anyone else viewing or listening to them. The other thing is every time I try to record it makes everyone self-conscious or prompts them to goof off... Maybe the thing to do is get them so used to being recorded they no longer get self-conscious, if I tell them I'm only going to save the best parts of the recordings.

I think the default is the video is temporary, but it gives you the option to save permanently.

The kids use something like that called Snapchat it's some kind of program that deletes the video after you use it.

Alright, I was pretty drunk on Saturday and the Facebook Live thing I should have started in the parking lot but then it would have had to be toned down from all the antics not for public consumption. Later on at a bar, I tried again but it seemed too offputting towards what was going on with aggressive bartenders glaring at the video recording and I nixed the idea. One video, I did not save and its gone. So that answers that question.

Gene, you should do a live feed of a D&D game, or maybe of your game materials and artwork. "A tour of the World of Bravesword."

Heh, yeah the "World of Bravesword" would look like a bunch of map keys that no one could make out on film. I'd probably have to point and read. I wish that I had more of the mindless D&D crap that I made back in the 80's. I have this compulsion to remake some of the flags that I had made but it was so time-consuming to generate them just to have them stolen instantaneously. So I have a fear of generating elaborate crafts. Not so much drawings but paintings. I could go through so much crap. Toys. Miniatures. But its still a dump down there. Need to toss out a few things. I have this old mini-bar that I found and I can't let it go but its taking up a lot of space.

Well, I made an attempt at it and ended up discovering that the oak table leg fasteners are cracked. I might have to chuck it. I maneuvered the bar over so its less in the way and I gathered all the old electronics together. So:
1) Fix table
2) Purge electronic junk
3) Organize bookshelves
4) Set up game friendly environment

I've had a few myself, but it's been all quiet on the Facebook front for a while. I think I've unfollowed, and in a few rare instances unfriended, everybody that got to me.

This has been ongoing since the 70's. Its like he's a boomerang but I just had it. If you're friends with Two Face you don't get to be Batman so I finally made a choice. I am Batman. My example wouldn't have sounded as good if I had used "Zack" and "Wheezie" from the now forgotten children's PBS cartoon "DRAGON TALES" for some reason... "I AM ORD!" Noo... nooo. noo.. Sorry...

Sorry I ignored your photo challenge on FB, Gene. I have a hard time keeping up with social media. The newsfeed on FaceBook is like an endless waterfall... But I find most of your posts to be pretty entertaining!

I'm still on Facebook, but was quickly disenchanted... I'm friggin' nearly 60 and I'm "social media challenged". I just don't have the wherewithal to follow ANYTHING that closely anymore... not daily; certainly not minute-to-minute! I currently focus on 1) running my 1E AD&D world with Tony (Woodstock), my brother, my daughter, a few friends, and a few of my daughter's friends 2)work, five days a week until I retire in eight years 3)riding herd on the cats and dog 4)reading new Brandon Sanderson novels 5) watching "RWBY" episodes from Rooster Teeth and 6) waiting for the next "Stranger Things" season (very reminiscent of "Summer of Nights" by Dan Simmons... ). And maybe occasionally checking up on you kids and throwing out a pun or two... ^__^

Heh, that is cool, Gary.
GT, you are the man. Some of the crap that I post seems easy but there is a method to my madness, I've been using the rapid fire camera/click/comment/upload and plus tack on on top of that I've been literally modelling myself and and subjects since I was a teen. So sometimes it seems like I'm spending 5 minutes here and there and its actually seconds a day.
