Forget about doing an entire campaign or even module on Roll 20. But what do you think of running a one session playtest on it, just to see how it goes? Even if we just did something like play out a combat?
And then if it goes well, who knows, maybe it will evolve into something.

Yeah I'll do it just come up with a time and I see if I can slate it in.

I'll be on vacation visiting family in NC for the next week, but then I get back next Tuesday. How about Tuesday, July 2nd at around 8 PM EST?
I was thinking later in the evening might work better for those with kids.
Scott would that work for you, also?

That seems do-able.

Hopefully the TV won't be blasting in the background!

What game should we join? What is the campaign name?
I think the way Roll 20 works is the DM has to create and 'launch' a campaign and tell the players the name of it.

OK, you have to tell us what game to join on Roll 20.
As an example, I created a campaign named 'Aragus' -- but I just don't know what the hell I'm doing.

Yep, it's me. I just reset my Google password. I'm logged on. I'm just not familiar with Google Plus at all.

I never use it either. I was on Myspace and got a lot of crappers from the past then Facebook I thought it would be a new start but instead it was crappers phase two. Now I've got a new rule no relatives except my sister so I don't have to talk on the phone!
I added you to the circle so you can invite me once I'm in the circle I think.

That was totally doable.
I could make sense out of it enough to start.

I tinkered around some more and you can quickly resize a gridded hand drawn scanned map to fit the grid area in.
You can make character sheets and reuse them for other tokens on different maps.
You can group and ungroup by right clicking the grabbed tokens and select group or ungroup.

The group thing that I mentioned can be rotated and moved as one unit.

Just to clarify: Google Plus is not required to use Roll 20. You can log into Roll 20 site directly, create a campaign or join a game, and have video chat that way.
I think the key to using Roll 20 is mastering the use of the different layers and what the DM allows the players to see. That way you could have a dungeon or adventuring area already drawn out and 'reveal' it as the players move through it by lifting the fog of war effect.

It took me about an hour to get my video picture on there. I kept getting that pattern where my name was. I disable it in the right hand settings. Then I restarted and enabled it and a little FLASH settings box appeared over the pattern and said it was disabled. I enabled it and it came to life. The weird thing was when I enabled it in Google Plus I logged in with the same ROLL20 account from when we tried it a while ago so all that scribbled was from back then. I kept putting in my Google Gmail which wasn't linked (it was created in my Yahoo mail). But now its fine. From what it looks like it might be just as good but I'm not sure if that putting views of web pages will work. Here is a screenshot of it without GOOGLE HANGOUT: For everybody who wasn't there the shadow area can't be seen in Player view so the demon on the left can only be seen by the DM and the giant-sized "female Thuggee" on the right is partially moving into view. While the PC (the M-U with red cap in the middle) and the undead (zombies and I think its skeleton) are all in view.

I just noticed that the camera is broadcasting a mirror image but it isn't normally in other programs.
