Yes, I think I had a card photo on the upper posts here is the text from the MONSTER CARDS: The acid causes 4D8 points of damage to those hit. The creatures hit may save vs. Breath Weapon to reduce damage to half.

Maylin and his party encountered a giant slug on the 9th dungeon level tonight. The slug got lucky and rolled a 4% and hit with its acid on the first round. Saves made and no items lost. I think it's the first time they encountered one, he was totally surprised by the acid. Is there an official ruling on how often they can spit acid?

Its continuous once its started because of the special percentages of the attack so a slew of immediate attacks have to happen for that to work. As far as returning after an earlier combat later in the day for slew of continuous acid attacks then I'd eyeball it but I don't see anything official. Just that the acid attack has to have a slew of continuous attacks to fit the running away with percentages aspect.
