Wow--"FM", No Static At All, comes through again! I reckon we can add in the "branched staff" or a tentacle rod depending on how the DM wants to play through! ^__^

OK... so the whole Q1 was BS, but I still give a nod to DCS, as he was handed a project and told "here's where I was going, but I want to use that for the T-series now"; and the whole EEG and Lolth thing was switched around, and in the end thanks to the Blumes, we didn't even get to see the EEG conclusion (inclusion?) All Dave could hope for was a "diversion", and I know that if Gary (and Frank) would've had their way, the T-series would have indeed included the EEG! ^__^

Thats tough. Perhaps make the Lolth oriented charcters as "double agents" for the EEG, Falrinth seems rather duplicitous in his motivations for sure. And Lareth's "color guard" (as depicted by Tramp) didn't seem too "Lolthy" with their "eyes of fire".

Assuming that the staff is not a Lolth-connected tentacle rod, but a device of similar magnitide that someone in the Temple hierarchy might possess, who would have it?

Well, if you go the path of least resistance that the leucrotta are recalling a servant of Zuggtmoy specifically. Then perhaps it can be Senshock's staff.

Revisiting this little mystery, I notice that 427 is an unoccupied gate room, but 417 is the abobe of Supreme Commander Hedrack. I'm guessing that the mystery staff belonged to him, and it may not be a tetacle rod, but more likely a piece of Temple regalia that got dropped from the description, probably not magical.

Yeah, but isn't Hedrack more of a servant of Iuz than of Zuggtmoy? The leucrotta is evidently a minion of the Queen of Fungi - so wouldn't the staff, and by extension, its wielder be a representative of Zuggtmoy? Just thinking outside the box . . .
