I think that there is some confusion there between The Great Stone Enigma (the Easter Island-like statue) and the Great Stone Face (inspired by Merritt)... Yes?

I've definitely confused the two. In fact, I had no idea they were different until Scott mentioned somewhere that the Great Stone Face was in the floor, which is what started my cognitive dissonance on the topic!

Very cool to read this again. Were these extracted from DF, then. I was talking to John Seibel (Deogolf) in some posts recently about his experiences and he or I was going to try and find his threads/accounts about this game. I'll have to remember to have another look over there. Scott, do you remember where these entries came from? Gary's Q&A or from John's journal or somewhere else altogether? The posts in this thread (by Gary) all came from Gary's email list. John's posts at DF about the later sessions were across a bunch of different threads, all started by John, on the Greyhawk board. Give me a sec and I think I can come up with a collected list of links to them: Yup -- here they are: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9

Have to say I loved reading through all these, both the posts on DF and Gary's email entries as posted by Scott on page 1.
Is there a gap somewhere, though? John's posts stop around April of '04, and Scott's updates commence in Septemer of '04.

I had both of those play test notes too, but not sure where they are at the moment.
