Ahhh, and we can arrange for vast quantities of libations of finest sort and pizza made to order! Perhaps we should actually start planning to have a Con of sorts in a year or two for grognards---GrognaCon ore some such... Hmmm.... Why don't you, gene, and me start organizing Triple G Con (Girls, Games, and Grognards???). It can rotate between New York, Pittsburgh, and wherever it is in Indiana that you reside. Scott

Haven't run anything in a con for a long time, but that'll change at GenCon SoCal this year. Among the offerings will be a session of Condemned as Galley Slaves as interpreted by me. Which means a few changes. Namely; the HPs are approached by an agent of the Castillian government, who wants them to keep an eye on an important item travelleing in the hands of the magician, Maldenado. Passage has been booked for them on a galleas headed for Ægypt, where they are supposed to make contact with an agent of the Ægyptian government, who will make the final decision regarding Maldenado and the package the fellow is carrying. The HPs are cautioned to observe and gather information, it being very likely the magician has allies abourd the galleas, making any overt action on their part problematical. But, when have HPs ever been satisfied to keep a low profile?

Alan--You need to get in on this, too. Imagine a collective adventure with input from you, Rob and Gary (and Newton if we can find the lad!) And a bunch of Grognards to run through it!!!!

I've got a new car and a brand new license after a sixteen-year hiatus from driving so... What're we waiting for?

16 years? Now I don't feel so bad, I've only been license-less for 5 years now. Scott

I went back for a permit in 96 after 8 years and never got around to taking the road test. This time around I just took the road test right away.

Heh! Indeed! I've since setup a 4-day canoe trip to further my voyage down the Wabash, but that still leaves me a week-and-a-half of vacation time! ^__^

Well find a halfway point between you and me and if we can O.K. it with our respective wives I will see what I can do. Think about the exchange of ideas without all the hoopla of a convention.

Yes; at this juncture, time to get together and compile material is more critical than simply playing--although any spare time left would be great for that! ^__^

I set up what I call a practice game to get comfortable with the rules and running the game and to show it off to some hopefully future players.
Capua Nights - Players run competing ludis'. They fight gladiators and make deals on slaves. They entertain important political figures and vie to rise socially.
Yeah it's a total Spartacus rip off but it is what my girl and our friends wanted to do. Actually it has been pretty fun. We are just getting into it but we have ran a few gladiator fights and created some of each ludis' household.
I'll keep the board posted as we progress but we generally only meet once a month so it might be a while in between updates.
Cheers!
