Yes, if you want to send me some of your drawings I'm always interested in looking at them. I think you have some real talent. Okay, I'll scan them tomorrow cause I've been hitting the Guinees too much tonight for Paddy's.

That is one wild looking tavern brawl. What's the reptilian monster on the left?
I'm not used to seeing your drawings in ink. The ink adds a whole new intensity and contrast. Do you ever use a brush for your ink washes, such as for the areas with a lot of black?
I like your traditional art style with real armor and normal sized weapons. 25 years ago that's something I would hardly have noticed -- now, it's refreshing!

The bar invader is a Foofai....just kidding! Possibly a denizen of the lower planes (perhaps a DMG generated one).

The lord was brushed and the tavern was done with fancy pens.

Nice work on the city Gene (although I do agree that the lens-flare is a bit over-the-top ); I'd be happy to check out your other stuff too sometime!

Yeah, and nice touch with the silver and blue moons. I don't understand what the foreground glare is supposed to be... When I first looked at the picture I was immediately reminded of "Close Encounters of the Third Kind" (love that movie).
There's so much potential with digital art. I for one do not turn my nose up at it, I think it has wonderful tools. Gene at least is not afraid to try it. I myself am still a Neanderthal with my graphite and brushes, but at some point I'm going to give digital art a go. I bought my first book of digital art titled "Fantasy Art Now" and I think it is an exploding field -- there are some pieces that approach the skill and detail of traditional art mediums.

I think the flash is a retributive strike, and the rest is the vapor trail of the magic-user that did it.

That's definitely got more "retributive strike" going for it!
