The party completed the adventure, again in spite of their best effort to TPK themselves. They started the last session by opening all of the remaining inner doors. They had a pretty good map of the level by this point and managed to do it pretty quickly. On the balcony they spotted Drelnza and were suspicious of course. PLasolder slid down and she awoke and started talking. Confused, 'who are you?, where am I? kind of stuff. Plasolder ended up charmed. Next Corbek slid down, the cleric of St. Cuthbert. Her sword leaped into her hands and the battle was on. Corbek used his boots of levitation to get away from Plasolder's attacks. Drelna ran up to the party using her spider climbing. She was dealing out monster damage with her sword, but Corbek saved against the special paralyze ability, and she missed every time she tried her Vampire level draining attack. The part used two monster summoning spells and had a serpentine owl to eat up some of the damage. And eventually they beat hereunto gaseous form. After watching the smoke escape into the dais they searched and found a way inside. There they discovered the Prison of Zagig and summoned the Xeg-yi guardian. They killed it. It exploded, and Corbek waste HP away from dead dead. They cured him back to consciousness. They removed the next lair of the dais and found Drelnza and the books. They killed her dead and examined the books. Barely conscious Corbek convinced them to open the Demonomicon and so the party summoned the Xag-ya. The party was able to keep it at bay with protection from evil, so when they killed it the damage was minimal. After this the party took what they could and ran to base. They rested a couple days and went back to get all the treasure they could. They talked about exploring the few areas on the map they missed, but then unanimously decided to get the hell out of there.
On the way back to Bissel they came upon a party of gnomes being attacked by a band of ogres. The party rushed to help, but the ogres killed all but one gnome before the lone surviving ogre fled into the mountains. The party decided to take the beat up gnome back to his home, and a few days later the party arrived in Gnome vale, and that's where we called it.
