Is there more detail regarding the appearance and appearance differences for Nupperibo versus Lemure devils? The Lemure are described as 'vaguely human blobs' and have a picture displayed in MMI, what coloration would they be body versus eyes?
Since the Nupperibo 'are blind, deaf, and unable to speak', does that mean their appearance is as a Lemure with unformed eyes, ears, and maw? Are they otherwise the same in appearance?
Why is the move rate of a Nupperibo {6"} twice the rate of a Lemure {3"} - is it because Lemures are more bloated?

Theyre traditional monsters so its just straight up. Look up a picture of them.

Going from real world mythology, nupperibo should look like ordinary people with no faces (which is presumably why they are blind, deaf, and can't speak), while lemures don't have a fixed form, except that they're always "grotesque and terrifying" (and blob-like per the MM1). Nupperibo have a faster move rate because they walk normally (but are slower than normal humans because they don't know where they're going); lemures are slow because presumably they don't have fully-formed legs and move by oozing and shuffling along rather than actual walking.

Here are the two types of traditional "Nupperibo": en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Noppera-bōen.wikipedia.org/wiki/NuppeppōYou'll find all three terms are sometimes interchangeable in different contexts but thats just par for the course in folklore. Sometimes a troll isn't really a troll at all. It can be a beautiful lady, for instance... WHUH? BUT I CHOPPED AND BURNED 'EM ALL, MAN...

Interesting. I wasn't familiar with the creature from the second link. That seems somewhat similar in appearance to AD&D lemures and might help make that connection. In the Nine Hells there are two main types of tormented spirits - those without faces (nupperibo) and those who are flabby and smelly blobs of flesh (lemures) - and the uninitiated use both terms interchangeably to refer to either type

Here is a reference that I was using for a long time: I can't find the other book where it has one that looks like a baby with slight features.

The book has almost zero info so its a little frustrating as to what is from what source. I would not recommend it.
