Thanks guys. It was the big 41. I spent it playing with my niece and nephews (no kids of my own, yet... or maybe ever, who knows).

Here's to the EGG-man on his birthday. Hopefully I can roll a few dice this evening in his memory.

Farewell, 30s. But I still fall in the "mature" age bracket. Thanks amigos!

Many people that I know had these mega huge 40fests and even though my "party" was so very very low key and shared at a restaurant (not my first choice) I wouldn't trade any of it for the bullshit craziness that the big parties had! A lot of bad shit happens when people who receded from your life are pulled back in for an event. After that, I shot down every mention of even a small party in total fear. Its great to have friends... "Send the henchman in first!" Have a good one!

My wife took me to New York for five days for my 40th, which realised a lifetime dream, and was great. My friends and I, there's about ten of us who were all at (high) school together, all the same age, so we took ourselves and our respective others off to SW Scotland, where we'd exclusively booked a small hotel. Lots of fine food and drink, and some shooting and the like - good times. I think the DM of life cheated me of the +1 INT and +1 WIS, though everything else seemed to go down as usual...

Happy Birthday, Old Man Gregg! You are now older than you have ever been... But that's not such a bad thing. And, you're still younger than me. We should get together sometime for a game and a Scotch.

Jägerschnitzel and liter steins of Hofbräu Dunkel at the Hofbräuhaus. My kind of birthday.
Thanks for all the birthday wishes.

Happy Birthday, Amalric the Old!
Don't forget to subtract 1 point of STR and CON if you didn't already do it last year...
