Alright, why the delay? The blog post "AS ABOVE SO BELOW: Part One" is based on campaign stuff that was "genericized" for what i intended as part of the planar series with Rob's Pied Piper Publishing company. But that fizzled so fast that I was left with all these "critters" (as GT puts it! ) that had illos. Now there are several series of different things associated with that project that were "finished". Then I looked back at the campaign and said if I leave all these other monsters behind then why publish it? So the other monsters were scribbled out looseleaf shit monsters from various sessions that no one ever correlated to be part of this theme. But I knew... SO... IT WAS GNAWING. I couldn't put out one without the other. In finalizing, the associated monsters I realized two major factors were missing their deity and an associated "NPC class". Both were looseleaf scribble content. Right now I'm finalizing the NPC class and I need two illos to match. So that is where I'm at. With no spoilers.

Update for blog:
There is a light at the end of the tunnel... Just illos for 2 things. Wow, this is going to blow everybody's minds. There is lot went into this one.
Update for module:
Still need to iron out the central hub although there is enough there that is already way beyond anything ever done before.
Update for specific blog in regards to Greyhawk:
All the maps for TOEE areas were already drawn out but some are very big like the first installment and some are very small. The next one is huge.

It's funny, the campaign I've been running has been the most successful in a long time, but I haven't had much time to post. Always a ton going on with the kids, etc. We booted the kids from the campaign, BTW. Individually, they're all good players, but they started drifting too much when we get them together. We have two new players that will be starting this Saturday.

The party will be returning to Fax on the Wild Coast for some adventuring designed to flesh out the area, and work the new PCs up. After that I may try running the classic Gary stuff.

Yeah, I hear you. The kids cheesed off before we even started a few months ago. I think because we played DUNGEON which was cool for me but for them seemed soulless and often times cruel.

I'm going into full swing design madness at this point.
Still have not finished the main castle in the main "village" of the module product. Once that is done a total evaluation is at hand. Speaking of total evaluations.
The blog post that I set for myself is a monstrosity that needs a final approval that I refuse to give. Its like that scene in EXCALIBUR with Lancelot with a sword in his gut. I have been going over my notes on this and there is room for more (per Gary's philosophy) but I just want to make sure this big thing doesn't clunk because its a little game changing.

Been slowly grinding back into place but last couple of weeks were soul-crushing hell of a private nature. Maybe by next week I'll be back in form.

Hang in there, Gene! I cannot remember how many trips to hell I’ve been on myself various times, looking forward to you on the upswing again!

Thanks! Thank goodness nothing bad has come out of this (all I can say is it was kid-related and psychological) but I'm glad I'm back on track.

Oh man, I've been there. Hospitals, therapy, police, court, schools, etc, and that's just the first one. The movie Parenthood has got nothing on real life. Taking the Ring to Mount Doom would be less stressful than raising kids. Hang in there Gene. Do your best. That's all we can do.

For me, it definitely comes from the angles I didn't expect. Like my oldest's boyfriends are usually insolent jackasses. I would never in a million years have thought that I would have a problem dealing with shit like this. But its like instant crapfest just add water.

Still lagging on chores been doing adventure production piecemeal and have come extremely far text is like 90-95% done for sure so thats a major mark. This adventure is generic for any world but its also a total slice of the campaign come to life. Once its in the final stages I'll reveal exactly what the content is but its way bigger utility than a Monster Manual at this point.

Are you doing any playtesting? If not, I'm sure you have some willing playtesters here who could play using Skype or something web-based.
I've always wanted to do more of that. Scott ran a game for us using Roll20 once and I thought it worked well enough.

The physicality is off as far as the "I can't leave all these people here" is missing from being easily excused. Thats what happened the last time. Once this thing comes out its going to at least buy me some free time then I can do the continuing adventures series as an online playtest.
The majority of this particular adventure was played in 2006 but there is a lot of material they didn't touch.
I've been fighting tooth and nail to work on this thing lately. So I could not even schedule sitting on the porch at this point.

I’d like to try out some of the Wild Coast ideas I’ve been tossing around.

Nice encounter area, Gene! I like the variant monsters and drawing. What is behind the "Nulb is not Nulb" reference, and why does it translate different into red dragon that to other dragon languages? I loved the Okelard reference -- that's exactly the sort of level of Greyhawk lore detail that I prefer: a subtle link to the setting that fans will pick up on.
