Feel free to comment on the blog and here.
That is what I wanted to do on Fourth Age Middle Earth have a post-modern hobbit but does anybody really need a weird gazetteer of Middle Earth?
I'm focusing on Elemental Evil project and and my other stuff for publication now.

I always think Fourth Age Middle Earth is the logical time period to set a game in, because all lore from books is valid as history right up to the present moment, and the the fresh approach is always to move forward with that which is new and different. The downside of a Fourth Age setting is that which made THE LORD OF THE RINGS so compelling... er, the Lord of the Rings (Sauron)... is gone. So anything you do in Fourth Age runs the risk of either feeling like a lesser footnote (which is probably as it should be) or completely inappropriate ("100 years after the fall of Barad-Dur another Dark Lord arises who is an even greater threat than Sauron ever was!"). So, what do you do with the Fourth Age?

Exactly, I kept going back and forth to make it "different" but there comes a point where its too much work.
BTW, its not directly implied on that hobbit post but use the thief table for experience.

BTW, its not directly implied on that hobbit post but use the thief table for experience. I added a line after they use the thieves combat tables to say: My friend Taylor read it and said he didn't understand how they would go up in levels so its probably better to state that... THREE YEARS LATER AFTER BEING EDITED 637 TIMES THE BLOG TITLE READS: THE QUASI-HALFLING A NOT CLASS/NOT RACE FOR NOT ANY FORM OF D&D

I think I get it... your hobbit is an attempt to more accurately represent that which was in LORD OF THE RINGS, with some in-game abilities to explain some of what happened in the novels. In AD&D such a hobbit, even if it doesn't get XP for fighting and killing monsters, could still get XP for finding treasure, right? What is the idea about hobbits being magical, and attracting magic-users?

Yeah, no combat is basically the route as sort of a tangential character.
The Old Man Willow, Balrog, wights, Bombadil, Treebeard, Gollum, Gandalf, Sauron (palantir), Shelob, etc. attention that they recieved almost makes it a conspiracy theory on how they strangely are attractive. Then there is the whole witchking thing. Perhaps I should have added its presence gives an ally the ability tohit creatures that need magic weapons to hit?

I like the new monsters and especially the write-up of the trow with their golden cities, cold white sun and barren planet and the floating fortress Unholy House of Hags. Those are some striking visual images, and of course the next logical step is for you to draw them! The only thing that seemed to be missing in the trow description was higher hit dice/level leader types (edit: well, you did mention the overseers which can have 5 HD or more, but I was thinking in terms of how many leaders found in groups or in lair and whether the trow can advance in any classes or not).

Well, I wanted it to be not too drowish but on the same "planet" (planet underworld Gygaxian) and I was thinking maybe I can add a part II for more details.
Right now I'm continuing work on my first module and it needs to be ironed out but its all there so far. Lots of new add ons. Everything is based on actual stuff played so there is nothing left behind.
