I think I am going to broaden the scope of this board. Comics, Books, Movies, etc? Maybe a new name too. Any feedback on changes would be appreciated.

Or maybe I'll have to move to a new board instead, since the URL won't change.

I don't know it sounds good. You already have everything covered in regards to bins for various rpg subjects. Maybe the opposite would have a better effect, that is let things emerge in the GENERAL DISCUSSION then have an accessible archive for each category to continue. I'm just saying when I went category nuts on one of my forums around ten years ago it seemed very disappointing and I think thats probably the chief reason why I don't even bother with maintaining my own forum.
How about moderate discussion to various bins after a week? That might encourage posters to post about anything.

What's the motivation for the change Scott? I like the name as it is.

None really. Maybe just change for change's sake. I've been neglecting the place. Maybe something to jump start my participation.

Honestly? This forum has become almost my sole d&d interactivity. compared to a decade ago when I spoke, drank and smoked D&D. (I really got to get back on the horse with that.).
That said, I don't even look at D&D sites because of the recurring urge for participants to be slumming from other interests and prove classic D&D sucks unrelentingly. Thats the only thing to be wary of but how to slow it down is beyond me.

I like the forum the way it is. I would recommend not changing the name or the URL or the historical threads, especially the gaming threads. There is some hidden treasure there, and you never know who has linked to this site to have access to that stuff. Updating the look might be a nice change. But I just don't see the need to alter to the layout: you have your General Discussion board which covers everything, I don't see the need for sub-boards for movies, comic books, etc. There just isn't enough traffic for that to be a concern. What is it: you, me and Gene and an occasional person like maximus or Falconer popping in to discuss things?

To get a rough idea of a comparable old school type forum, I just headed over to KNIGHTS & KNAVES ALEHOUSE and it doesn't seem that bad... at first, anyways. I like the idea that Falconer is a mod but some of the posters are in some kind of mentality. Last time, that I was on DRAGONSFOOT it just seemed to be filled with people thinking Gygax era D&D was somehow unplayable. I don't think that is what is going on at K&KA at all but its something weird. Too commercial maybe with these module things for sale?
